Don't get me on my soapbox here haha. Some involved thought that they could use this a huge revenue tool for the program but from my understanding they only make pennies on the dollar from each subscription that is linked to a particular school. All this after pushing local radio to the brink with their outrageous broadcast fees while barely providing more that a plugin in some places (some schools are better than others). These same schools are at the same time asking for free air-time to promote anything and everything not athletic related....

That's a stretch...

And only another month until they fix said master schedule!

Despite Grundy having some really good teams in the late 90's and early 00's, Richlands has had their number winning the last 17, including the one mentioned above. It's like the Golden Wave sold their golden soul (and clock keeping abilities 😉) to get that 1995 playoff victory...

Until Ralph's Country Club opens a Myrtle Beach location, I'll be staying away.

I would put the beaches of Doran right up there with Myrtle.

Anyone else thinks it's a little disappointing that so many other local schools have lost and re-hired a football coach in less time than Richlands has?

In my opinion, an assistant coach can get by with a stern, old-school attitude nowadays, but a head coach cannot. A face of a program needs to be just as much a political type figure as a football guy.

Every Richlands Blue Tornado Head Football Coach is given a Gold Card to show to Richlands area business. Free Meals, Free Booze... Hell, I think you can even have a funeral for free with that card. That has to be well over 6 figures in worth.

If that really were a factor in this case, no one outside of Tazewell County would win in Region D, ever. But, that's not the case here, and really has nothing to do with anything being discussed here.

Are you telling me that the electronics that you speak of are only sold in Lee County, Virginia? Union High School, not far from Lee County, just won a State Championship in Basketball and was in the State-Semifinals in Football... Graham has always been smaller than Lee High School, yet, they compete in Football and Basketball most seasons. A number of other schools locally could be used as an example. Maybe electronics or lazy kids aren't the problem. Could be the adults???

I have so many questions! Are the .75 kids missing part of limbs? How about the .5 kids, are they the top or bottom half? .25, are they just a shin? I need answers!
