  1. They will have to play the perfect game to do it. They won't if Richlands does. Too much difference in speed.
  2. That doesn't bode well for the Bulldogs. At least they are assured a spot in the playoffs. Who knows, they might just meet up with the Gmen again if they can win a couple more.
  3. Which players are you talking about?
  4. Nothing more than a foolish statement. Not sure where that is coming from, but obviously NFL people thought he was good enough. I don't think they would think he sucked for 13 seasons. I would think they know more than someone who is an internet analyst. Most discussion here is intelligent, but that statement is not. Did that come from some frustration with this past week's loss?
  5. Everyone knows that far too often, the Hokie defense is relied upon to hold the game close, win the game by itself (which has happened many times), etc. The promise on offense with the play-calling the past few weeks was refreshing, and for a change people were talking about it. For most of the game, the OC digressed to the past ineptness, with the exception of the last two touchdowns which took all of about four minutes. Just like the Alabama game, the defense was on the field too long. I thought they did a pretty good job. That offense of Georgia Tech is tough for anyone to defend when it is clicking.
  6. For the record, that would be one sack with two onions, lol.
  7. Gotta give credit to Georgia Tech. Their offense is something to behold when it's clicking. They also stepped it up on defense as well. Virginia Tech's offensive play-calling resembled nothing of the past few weeks. Same old story. Coach Beamer should just congratulate the good ol' OC on blowing any chance of playing for the national title. Funny how we could score two touchdowns in about four minutes, but look like we were dragging a ball and chain on offense the rest of the game. For the most part, I thought the defense played pretty well. That triple option was impressive tonight.
  8. I will have to agree. I told someone at the game that this was the best that they played since this group of seniors were playing as sophomores. David is really running the option well. They played smart football tonight. I didn't get to the Grundy game last week, so I can't speak for their performance, but I was impressed tonight. They flew to the ball on defense. They were aggressive on both sides of the ball. I'm not sure if you would call it playing with speed, but they played quick tonight. It was nice to see them play like Graham teams are known to play. Tazewell was dominated everywhere on the field tonight. I will admit that I was surprised by that. I don't know if the Gmen will continue to play like this the rest of the season, but tonight was a game that should make Graham fans feel a little pride.
  9. Congrats to the Gmen. Lets hope they keep it rolling the rest of the season. As a Graham fan, I have read it all about what is wrong with them on this board this season. Whatever the problems there have been, I'm glad they got their first win. Most of these players have been starting since they were sophomores. I would hope that they still have some pride. Maybe they came to life tonite. If they have, look out Bulldogs next week. I think.....
  10. Decided to go watch this game. Couldn't make it to Bluefield/Gate City. I thought with the way the first quarter started, it might turn into a pretty good game. Richlands is pretty stout on defense. I know they scored 42 points tonite, but it looked like they were out of sync on offense. Too many penalties killed their momentum. If it weren't for that, they would have scored alot more. Tazewell just has trouble scoring points. Lockhart had no time at all to do much. I'm not sure how many passes he attempted tonite, but it couldn't have been many. Richlands had too much speed on the defensive line.
  11. You can find it in the VHSL manual. There is a link to it on their website.
  12. Richlands pulls away in the second half 41-21.
  13. They'll be as good as advertised on this board. Having said that, I think Gate City is pretty good too. I expect a great ballgame. I just wish Bluefield had their quarterback for this game, although they faired pretty well against Charlotte Country Day without him.
  14. Give me your definition of near.
  15. That one player is what scares me. Like the running back from Marion who put up a cool 256 on our D Friday nite.
  16. What this is, is a symbol of what our country was founded on. This photo makes me proud.
  17. I doubt it. If you're a 1 or a 2 seed, you've had mojo all season. That's what got you that seed. At the end of a season, it's nice to heal up and game plan. If you truly deserve that seed, the layoff won't affect you. A good team is a good team. Period.
  18. It's what I saw on Virginiapreps a week or so ago. 1 and 2 seeds get bye first round. I can't confirm it though. Someone else may know for sure.
  19. I assume you are referring to Marion's D. If you are talking about Graham's defense, they did improve by 5 points this week, lol.
  20. Tonite was obviously not a measuring stick. If Marion had kept running that kid, they put up 55+.
  21. Anyone with speed will hang some serious points on us. Princeton does have speed. Lets just say we are underdogs.
  22. We'll see tomorrow, lol. Just kidding. Marion played well tonite. That #1 can tote the rock.
