  1. Anderson from Union is probably the best runner, but his passing stats wont be very good.
  2. Here are my Top 3 O'Quinn from RV may be the most talented but has had INT issues this season. Pendrgraft from Lee has had a solid season so far, idk his exact stats but they have done well as a Offense. Church from Central has had a good season passing and rushing.
  3. That's really an astonishing accomplishment
  4. Numbers. A bad 2A team with a decent roster can just wear down a good 1A. RBs don't have to play D, OL can rotate on D. None of the best have to play ST. Makes a big difference down the stretch
  5. There were plenty of people arguing for Turners firing, maybe not just you. If I attributed more eto you than you deserved I apologize. Suggested, with a petition passed around town to be signed. Thats a 🤡 move. Great way to undermine the program.
  6. Were they playing the WV Girls School for the Blind's 8-man team???
  7. What Duke2015 said @Duke2015 the team that lost to Clarke Co was pretty good too and had a shot
  8. Graham fans will be glad to know that the blower of the horn decided last season that the team didn't deserve to have a horn and has quit bringing it, don't think he attends games either. Something about passing around a petition to get Turner and staff fired for doing such a terrible job
  9. Its been something I think a lot of programs could benefit from, most of the Cumberland and Black Diamond teams would be good fits. With the impending consolidation of Buchanan Co idk if there would be enough programs willing to participate. IF it was done I think it would have to be SWVA/EKY/SWV in a regional group.
  10. #1 contributor to a teams success imo is a coach being able to get kids out, #2 is S&C. The weight room makes players bigger/faster/stronger obviously but also cuts down on injuries and increases player confidence like nothing else. The importance of a good S&C coach/program cant be overstated. When watching games on Friday nights its really obvious who has a strong S&C program and who doesn't. Round 2 of the playoffs is almost always comprised of teams who put the time in during the offseason.
  11. U lost several key playmakers (RB, QB, WR), Rv has all of their playmakers back. U is starting several Freshmen, RV is Senior loaded. On paper Rv would be favored
  12. They always seem to get it together around week 7
  13. Last week I would have said PH but after the loss to VA High im not so sure. Lee isnt as good as VA High, might be a close game. Im gonna give the edge to Lee in a close one
  14. Was it Harris that was injured in a 7 on 7? How's he doing?
  15. Mascot, combine the two: Spartans with Green/Powder Blue or Red/Gold or Scarlet/Crimson Wave with Red and Green or Gold. Much better than a totally new scheme imo. Why not Ragsdale High?
  16. Hes a tremendous talent but idk if he will ever have the supporting cast for his numbers to be huge
  17. My wife pronounces it Bu-cannon and it drives me nuts
  18. For the experience of just traveling it's good, for the football experience of traveling it's good. If Tazewell has the money to do it I don't see a problem
  19. PH will be more physical that VA High and that will be the difference. I'm gonna say PH by 8
  20. You realize how blatantly wrong that is right? A offense could be 10 plays with each signaled in 4 different ways so that the opponent doesn't catch on, that's too much to remember but simple to read from a wristband. For example instead of players having to remember colors, numbers, hand positions, and symbols it's just all on the wristband. Idk Tarter or what his system is but wristbands don't necessarily mean the offense is that complicated, just that they don't want to run every play in.
  21. @Liam McPoyle excellent stats! That tremendously wide gulf in school enrollments is why VA has 6 divisions. Four, cut somewhat evenly, would be the end of almost every current 2A school having any success beyond the regional level.
  22. Chili, a tiny bit of mustard, a few onions, and slaw. Hard to beat that
  23. "old school" football leads to more bumps and bruises but modern spread football leads to a lot of serious injuries. More speed, more space, more force.
