It wouldn't surprise me if he gets just another slap on the wrist and Stew moves on with him. Heck, before last season Jock Sanders had been arrested 7 times and we all know how far his discplinary action went.

Correction, Observer: If Travis Benjamin would have had his head in the game on two of those interceptions, Miami could have won. The two interceptions thrown Benjamin's way were 100% his fault...not turning around for the ball because you thought it was a running play and letting the ball go through your hands right to the defender's is unacceptable for such a high caliber player. As for the one on the 6 yard line, Harris didn't exactly zip the ball in there, but his receiver stopped because he thought the official was in the way. It was a ridiculous showing for Miami yesterday.
It sucks how there is no asterisk for interceptions because a good amount of a quarterback's total are not his fault....case in point, the Miami Hurricanes receivers in yesterday's game.
-
Miami looked awful on offense. Dropped passes, stupid penalties..it was bad to watch. Jacory Harris was responsible for 1...maybe 1.5 of those interceptions. It was a rough game for me to watch solely because the loss could have easily been avoided.
-
Foster is far, FAR from overrated. Anyone who thinks so is an absolute moron who CLEARLY has no idea what he/she is talking about.
-
General, would you like some water to drink with your crow?
-
I won't go into the details of this again, however I will tell you this: I've grown up a Miami and an LSU fan. I've loved both of them for as long as I've loved sports. I'm not a bandwagon fan, so don't even go there.
-
I still love the man. Geaux Tigers!
-
My thoughts are that Masoli has no business being on a football field. Other than being disgusted by the NCAA allowing him to play this afternoon, I suppose the Ole Miss defense being pathetic was a shock to me.
-
It's a poor showing, yes, however, it shouldn't made out like this only happens in Miami. Fights between fans happen everywhere. This one just happened to get a tad out of hand and caught on tape. Even a friendly environment such as Marshall had fights at every game last season.
-
Fights happen at every stadium at nearly every game. Don't act like stuff like this strictly goes on at Miami.
-
I'm not negative on anything WVU...they do a good enough job of that by themselves.

Even in announcing the release of a uniform dedicated to the memory of fallen coal miners, Bob Huggins has to curse. Keepin' it classy.

Chalk one up for this guy

If you want to see Richlands play Bluefield, talk to the RHS coaching staff/AD. As Rules said, Bluefield was more than willing to continue the series.
-
I don't know if anyone else noticed, but Graham's success toward the end of the 2nd half (when they started dumping screens and finally got their first 1st down) was when Bluefield was blitzing everyone except the secondary (who dropped back a few yards into zone coverage). This is what opened the flats for such screen passes. I doubt Bluefield gets hurt by four/five screen passes in a row like they did against Graham unless it's toward the end of a half and the Beaver defense is seemingly doing what it wants.
-
I believe GHS73 should take some time to focus on his grammar skills. Seeing as how Graham doesn't appear to be working too hard on football, he should have plenty of time to pay attention in class.
-
Take a chill pill there, hokies. People have made fun of WV for plenty of years and will continue to do so as long as the people of the state keep making fools of themselves. WV will always be that ugly, unfortunate little cousin-sister that other states can pick on.
-
Bluefield DL started Kody Casey and Brenton Brooks at the ends and Keith Ferguson at nose tackle. CJ Manns, Joe Woodrum, Tre Williams, Ryan Shorter, and Brad Fox (with Fox and Manns playing db at times) at lb. Levi Beckett, Byron Steptoe, Edwards in the defensive secondary. Kory Sadler and Drew Simon came in at times to replace Ferguson and Casey/Brooks on the line.
This is what I remember (defensively) from the game last night.

Judging by Bluefield's perfomance against Graham and by what I've heard about Princeton's performance against Spring Valley, Bluefield should be able to easily handle Princeton's OL. Win the battle with the OL, slow down Tevin Allen, beat Princeton. I would say to look for this game to get about as ugly as the Graham game with Princeton's similarities in youth, size, coaching (lack thereof) with the G-Men..however, they have Allen who Bluefield will need to control.
Bluefield - 34
Princeton - 7

If these two guys are starting at linebacker for Graham, I'd be concerned. I know a smaller lb corps equiped with more speed than size can surprise some people when it comes to battling with the opposing offensive line (ie, WVU linebackers vs. Oklahoma OL in Fiesta Bowl), but these two guys barely weighing 160 going against the likes of Ferguson and Brooks on Bluefield's OL doesn't look to be too promising.
That being said, I think Bluefield runs a lot for a lot, throw a little for a lot, and gives up a couple big plays on D, all leading to a considerable margin of victory for the Beavers.

A major advantage in demographics? Are you serious?
-
If you were at both the Graham and Princeton games, I'm sure you did. He had something like 40 total tackles in the two games. It's a shame the path he's chosen but I hope everything ends up well.

Dante played football for Bluefield in 2008. He wore #2 and played linebacker.
