Yes indeed he does. Think the off season work has paid off for him. I think it has for both of them and a good coach like Matlock knows how to get the ball in their hands too.

I think both Milhorne and Barlow are becoming the most fierce running back tandem in the area. Both have been instrumental in pushing us to a 4-2 record and one couldn't find any more competitive kids. Both rushed for over 150 yards a piece Friday night and don't seem to be slowing down. Very proud of them and the Cavs for getting on a roll. Hats off to Coach Matlock and the job he and his staff are doing this year.

I agree and I am glad to see a player from Washington County receive high praise. That is number two this week. Cody Rogers of JSB was News Channel 5 Player of the Week. Congratulations to him.

I am not going to dignify your comments with a quote but I would like to say something to the real people on this board. I would like to apologize for some of the things I've said concerning the new district. I am human thus I have my faults and internal struggles just like some of you. Its called giving into the flesh. I sometimes allow my emotions get the best of me and yes my blood does begin to boil. I think Marion is a great town and wish them God Speed in their endeavors and battles in the Hogoheegee District. I would like to welcome them to the district. Thank you and have a nice day.

Funny you should say that when officials from your school have said privately they are trying to get away from playing Richlands in the regular season to build confidence. I think it is obvious their building false sense of security playing smaller schools. Also, apparently you guys never wore any "big boy" pants in the Southwest District. Have a nice day Ps: This all stems back to the behavior displayed by your team, coach, and fans when our small school took on your larger school this year in the benefit game.

Not real happy with the decision because I think they didn't consider the kids at the small schools: Holston & Northwood. Marion definitely knew what they were doing.

I think that Holston vs Battle prediction should be flipped around. Think Holston's defense is pretty stout. I think Battle has a good team don't get me wrong; however, I have to go with the Cavs. Should be a good game tonight.

I have been guilty of getting after the two clowns Southward and Falconboy haha, but try not to get too personal with them because they are young men who need role models in their life. Must admit though, they tend to get a little out of hand and need some chastisement. Big 'O' I feel for you because I do think you need a new coach there.

Have to agree with Stu bean on this one many JV programs are subpar at best and the kids don't develop until great coaches get a hold on them. Holston has been a great example of that with Coach Matlock showing success on the varsity level. Just for curiosity sake, what is "classic Falcon Jv ball"?

From your mouth to God's ears my friend. I did congratulate Coach Moore on a successful season but do believe Holston has a stable of quality coaches who can take over that program and win it all. As for PH, don't think that is the case on the male side.

Its not going to, both teams are bad and under coached. Abingdon has better talent but their coach doesn't utilize it correctly. The news in Emory is PH struggles with the same issue along with low numbers (33 from what I hear). I think the real news from this game will not be the score but how many bone head calls each coach will make. I think the better game to watch would be Twin Springs at Holston, both teams are evenly matched and it has rivalry written all on it.

I think Holston is a great place ever since Matlock took over the helm. Great people, good food, good announcing and music.

I am not defending the birds but will like to comment on your school and their current action of trying to enter the Hogo District. We, myself included, get on Abingdon for playing smaller schools; however, I support a small school. I spoke to a well respected Hogoheegee coach last week and he said that Marion is wanting to come to the Hogo. He said that you are sighting travel reasons but lets be real, its because of competition. You guys want to win some games against smaller schools. Well, for that, I place you, Marion in the same category as Abingdon. Shame on You!

I normally stay out of the business of calling teams out but have to address a reality on this one. It is my understanding that Virginia High dressed the equivalent of a Junior Varsity Team last night, meaning they are very young. Yet you get on here and say "man up?" How about your team and your town (we won't get into that) do that? You Abingdon fans are persistent in asking for respect, yet the word earn is never written; you always say "give." Well, nothing is given in this life dear friend except for free advice. My advice to you is to not come on here asking for respect when you lose to a Junior Varsity Team (no disrespect to Virginia High).
