frito gonzales reacted to GMan in Graham...Regular Season Scoring Record
Yes, but considering THIS is what they should have been doing since they joined the MED shows that at least there is some improvement under Coach Palmer. They averaged 55 pts./game vs. MED competition this season...compared to 29.0 in 2014, 27.2 in 2013, 33.6 in 2012, and 18.6 in 2011.

It was working..poor tackling... They are in position most of the time, but the tackling is not good.

frito gonzales reacted to futbolking in Some things really piss me off!!! A peewee football game story...
As a youth league coach who has coached kids from the age of 4 to the age of 18.... I've had teams that have won every game. I have had teams that have not won a game. The MOST important thing is that those kids are having fun and that they are being a part of a team and working together. The LAST thing they need is for an adult to belittle them for their efforts. I can tell you that I haven't met a kid I didn't like while coaching.... but I have met quite a few adults.

frito gonzales got a reaction from HM3-8404 in Giles vs Graham
If Giles is the least bit physical they will run all over Graham. Hope the G-Men come out to play football and leave all the smack talk and bs somewhere else.

frito gonzales reacted to futbolking in Graham vs Tazewell
Tazewell had a good game plan. Long possessions that kept Grahams offense off of the field. Only problem is they did not finish off those long time consuming drives with points. . . And Graham needed very little time to score on each possession. Having a weapon like Cousin in the backfield could really open up Grahams passing attack. . . And they have plenty of weapons in the receiving core. I was impressed with Israel Harris as well in his back up sold at running back. He was running north and south instead of east and west. . An improvement from pre season. Graham needs to make defensive adjustments. . . Maybe not bring those linebackers up so much. . . And stay home more. . The bulldog runningbacks got part them way too much. Also. . Was very impressed with Workmans patience and ability km get out of pressure and make a good pass. like i said before . . . This team will be dangerous at the end of the season.

I don't think that last TD would have happened had the 'dawgs not done that...

Well...Tazewell planting that flag and taunting the G-Men at the beginning of the game didn't work out to well for them...lol

frito gonzales reacted to futbolking in 2015 Bluefield VS. Graham Game
Cousin plays hard and is a physical runner. . Big step up in the run game for Graham. i would like to see grahams receivers come back to the qb when he has to scramble. There were several dropped passes also. I thought Graham had the better team. . . Bluefield had the x factor in Carlos Reed. he can win a game for you when the rest of the team is struggling. huge amount of potential for Graham. Im excited to see them play again. Another thing that was nice to see was kids in the right position for their skill sets. Friday night cant come soon enough. i want to see Cousin run the ball some more. i havent seen that much determination and effort since Ahmad was there. Not saying that he is another Bradshaw . . . But hey fun to watch. the whole team needs to load up on bananas too. . Cramps came at inopportune times on Friday. I do believe that this community is coming together to bring Graham football back.

I dont think it was designed that way. He got under pressure and ran out of the pocket and tried to find an open man. I was impressed with Workmans patience at the line of scrimmage to look over the defense and call the audible based on the coverage.

Richlands must be bad to let Graham play them that close.

I liked everything he said in the Bluefield Daily Disappointment (BDT) today...hope he brings the toughness that the G-Men used to play with back to GHS!!

One thing is for sure. He will give 110%, It is evident that the kids love and respect him. Most of them are very happy with this decision. Half the battle is already won.

frito gonzales reacted to futbolking in Who is the new Graham coach?
The kids love him and he is genuinely vested in the kids and the success of Graham High School. I think they made the right choice if this is true. He has already won the biggest part of the battle.... The kids like and respect him and will come out to play for him.

I'd like to see Tony Palmer get a shot at it. He has been there, seen what hasn't worked and hopefully can fix it. The players respect him and will play hard for him. My son's were there back in the Marrs era and the one coach they liked and respected the most was Tony Palmer. But whoever gets the job I hope they can teach tackling and defense because IMO that's what has killed Graham.

I don't think Graham turns anything around until they get good coaching.
