Hey everyone. The pickem is up and ready for week 1 down in the fantasy section!!! 

Me!!! Already made a tentative weekly game list for the season that I’ll tweak as the weeks come. 

Mount View becomes only the third school in WV history to win a playoff game in all three of West Virginia's classifications.  Ravenswood and Musselman are the others.

Martinsburg is the "God of WV football" but they aren't in the coverage area. Not sure why it is so hard to grasp for so many on here that the forum focuses on teams in the coverage area. Smh

I know that you aren't talking to me specifically as I have never made any declarations like that on here. Although as a Bluefield fan I have told other Bluefield fans from the get go that they would have tough games against Richlands, Botetourt, and a potential rematch with Fairmont Senior in Wheeling. I was surprised that they beat Richlands by the margin that they did. At the same time I never look at any team as unbeatable, especially my own team. I nitpick and complain about imperfections too much to do that.
The scary part is that Bluefield has a chance to be an even better team by the end of the season. The only thing that would surprise me is if you don't see a match up between Bluefield and Fairmont Senior in the state championship hame.
 
 

I said that The final 4 teams left in the playoffs in WV could play with the final 4 teams left in the playoffs in VA. 
VA is a stronger state for football in general, but you have to remember that WV only has around 115 schools playing football total. 
It’s ok if you want to disagree that the top few teams in WV’s AA could play with the top few teams in VA’s AA. I watch WV football and you never have. I’m going off experience, you’re going off paper.

What's the enrollment of Lord Botetourt compared to Bluefield?

LB is around 1100 kids 
Bluefield around 675 IIRC

I wouldn't say FSU "gashed VT's defense", especially in the running game.  FSU finished with 94 yards on 28 carries with 85 coming on one play.  The other 27 carries resulted in 9 yards.  With that said, VT should have had several more scores.  VT made its fair share of mental mistakes resulting in points being taken off the board.  As an unbiased observer married into a Hokie family, I'm not sold on Jackson as a quality QB either.  He is inaccurate and makes bad decisions with the football at times.  He made several bad decisions last night but FSU was ill-prepared to take advantage of them.  A better prepared opponent would have capitalized on those mistakes.    
I agree that FSU wasn't prepared for this game but for anyone who watched Oregon last season, that seems to be a common theme for Taggert.  I questioned  FSU choice in replacement for Jimbo when they announced Taggert.  I question it more-so now!

Salem gets all the recognition they could ever want and more on the 4A Virginia Preps forum.

these are the teams we choose from here. It’s honestly that simple, guys. 
If anyone wants to leave Bluefield out, then that’s dumb, but it’s your right to do so. 
But you don’t have the right to try to change the parameters of a website that is privately owned and has been ran the same way for close to two decades. 

You usually have to have some sort of leverage to use the “don’t poke the bear” line.  Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but it doesn’t have the same force and effect as the original.  
 
The 2nd largest shame is that people can’t abide by the instruction of “pick 10 of these X number of teams” as your Top 10.  The largest shame is that people jump in to defend it despite being entirely in the wrong.
