Playing Union and Radford to three point games and beating Chilhowie by 15 is hardly sucking it up

I think this game is proof that VHS losing to Battle was complete bull considering we owned Abingdon a few weeks ago. Still, credit to the Trojans whom I would've much preferred to see win instead of the whine and cheesers

Radford is similar to Union in their style of play, Virginia High could shock us yet again

Go Sooners! OU does have a history of underachieving on the road, but our veteran defense should be able to handle an unexperienced FSU offense. Sooners should pull out a close, albeit easy win

Bearcats took the Bears to overtime and led 17-14. Then on fourth down on the 8, Union's qb was chased out of the pocket and threw up a miracle which was caught for the game winning td. Heartbreaking loss for Virginia High

At VHS: the band consistently outplaying the football team

I know John Battle hasn't beaten Virginia High at least since 1999 (according to VHSL Reference) , does anyone know the last time that they won?

If you're going by scrimmiges then keep in mind that Wythe tied Virginia High 7-7 in one a few weeks ago

Honaker is a great place to travel to. Great fans, great field, amazing concession stand. Richlands is also awesome, I can't think of any other high school stadium where you can feel the electricity and tension in the air like Ernie Hicks. As for worst, has to be Gate City, Abingdon, and Tennessee High. Cocky, idiotic fans (especially THS)

Of course Gate City will be favored again but how will VHS and Battle do with new coaches? How will Lebanon and Lee bounce back? My Prediction: 1: GC 2: VHS 3: Lebanon 4: Lee 5: Battle

Not sure about a top 10, but #1 for Virginia High is undoubtedly Beattie Feathers. I know he played almost 85 years ago, but I can't think of anyone else who accomplished what he did. Including becoming the first NFL player to ever rush for 1000 yards in a season. That's right, the first person to ever do that went to Virginia High School
