  1. It will be similar to the Va High game. Bluefield will probably break a couple of runs but that may be in the second half against the JV team. Richlands first team D will be way to stout for Bluefield to move the ball. Just my opinion. Bluefield's defense is no where good enough to stop Richlands.
  2. and say it again and again and again. Classic UVA!
  3. Here are a few in my opinion: Tazewell: Jesse Davis- Just an unbelievable talent. Quentin Reed, Jeff Lamie, Robbie Colley, Steve Mitchem (older ones) Stoney Deel, Buddy Fisher Graham: Sugar Ray Graves (probably one of the best I've seen at running back) Ahmad (of course), Tibbs, Bluefield: Yubrenal, Jake Lilly, Hughe Smalls Richlands: everyone that played for them the last 12 years (just kidding, although they have been loaded with talent, too many to list for them) Think about how good Ringstaff, Johnson, Austin Fuller and many others have been at the high school level, kinda mind blowing You will of course have to put all NFL talent on the list but that is a given
  4. Don't under estimate Nick Blankenship on defense. He is a great talent as a RB but the kid can play some DB. He may be more talented there than on offense. When he was out with mono, Tazewell suffered because he wasn't on defense for them. He is smart and called a lot of the defense audible for Tazewell. Richlands will be double tough this year for anyone. I look for them to make a long run toward a state title. Abingdon will also be pretty good but AAA playoffs will be tough again for them.
  5. As soon as I heard Dudley was coming I thought "Meade will follow" He would be a great help to the Tazewell team. He is all heart. Plus, we could use him on the Baseball team. :)
  6. interesting that Mance didn't have a position for Meade. I hope he will play for Graham, he is a talented kid
  7. Heard yesterday that Meade from Graham is headed to the Blues as well.
  8. Only those close to the Tazewell program understand what Allen has been trying to achieve. I hate it for him and all of the younger kids that one of his best players is transferring on him.
  9. I can understand kids wanting to be on a winning team. Everyone loves a winner. What I don't understand is a parent trying so hard to get a kid in a winning program thinking they are going to better themselves. I agree with you, if you have talent, you have talent and a college coach will recognize it. Parents should work on exposing their kids to those coaches more and worry less about them being on a star program in high school In the end, pride and loyalty will mean a lot more than winning a few high school games.
  10. Proud of all of these kids, they played a great game. Have to give props to the Tazewell reps, they played well. Jordan had a good game and so did Diante Cecil.
  11. I think they will find a while for palmer to get it with Dudley assisting him.
  12. Round 2 tonight and its only 59-9 at halftime. GEEEEZZZZZ?????????????????????
  13. Maybe the offense is designed to have a good defense....which we obviously don't
  14. Graham 48 Tazewell 8 at halftime! ?????????????????????????????
  15. I kind of agree with Lance. I think it will be a slug fest the first two quarters, Richlands adjusts at halftime and pulls away for a fairly comfortable win.
  16. I like PM offense. 3 in the backfield, a decent QB and here they come, stop them if you can.
  17. Don't be surprised if Tazewell hangs tough Friday. Look for the QB to run the ball more than Blankenship also. #3 is tough as nails when he wants to be and I think the bears will get a solid dose of it. Prediction: Union 30 Tazewell 26 (only because they refuse to try for an extra point and will go for 2)
  18. No doubt about Cuz's! Smoked Ribeye time!
  19. The only good thing about Abingdon coming to Tazewell........the Abingdon Band, those guys can rock it!
  20. Nick is back this week. There are still a few players out on the offense and defense line but most are healthy. Still not sure Tazewell has regained enough momentum to beat a team like Abingdon. It may get ugly for the dawgs honestly.
  21. Huge win by Abingdon. Well played and what a game plan. Going to be fun seeing you the 31st in Tazewell. A huge CONGRATULATIONS to you guys!
  22. I've got to give it to you guys, that was a heck of ball game the Falcons played. Congrats and I hope the victory tacos were sweet!
  23. Stripes should "pee" in the Abingdon water cooler, that way the bad taste left in their mouths won't just be the beating they will take Friday night. Seriously, I can't see Abingdon winning this game. They may keep in close but Richlands has found their "mojo" and are playing great football right now. Having a week to prepare for Abingdon is also scary. The new kid for the "R" looks like a real player and he has had a full week to get the game plan in. Look out A-Town, the big blue wind storm is coming!
  24. Graham will win. They may not be very good but they have enough athletes to hang 40 or more on Bland. Meade is a quick runner and honestly can be hard to contain. (I'm assuming he is playing) I've heard a lot this year about the coaches at Graham and if true it is a shame. I've watched Graham twice this year, once against VA High in the scrimmage and against Tazewell and there is a ton of promise with that team. Lots of good looking kids and some real quick athletes. I think they win 2 of the last 3. Fort will be tough for them.
