I have only seen Union once and I wasn't awed by what I saw. Graham will win this game -maybe big.IMHO

You are correct in your comments about my post. I have nothing against any Kid who plays for Graham. It is just that I remember the time when if ones team lost is was like the victor would burn the town.

I will hold my nose and pull for Graham. No love for them , but Region D is us and we are one come playoff time.

What if last year the Blues played Ridge View and Lee instead of Blacksburg and William Byrd ?

If memory serves me correctly , I think they had a post season game of some sort at Gate City several years ago. Their coach was John Justice with mom I became acquainted with when he returned to Buchanan County . He was Principal of Garden High School for short time and relocated to Knoxville.. you statement about APPO is correct as I never heard any more about them until 2015 when they made an unbelievable late comeback to beat Richlands.

I did a poor job of stating what was on my mind at the time.The only thing I will say about what I said is that in my posts I never used the word"hate".

If a poster says he hates a team he must surely mean he or she hates their fans and not the kids playing the game we love so much.When your team loses a game to a rival -like Union Richlands or Graham Bluefield or Gate City Richlands or Union etc your criticism should be on someone other than the kids playing the game ! I bet a lot of the haters of so & so never played the game. My last thoughts until next season. Not a big BB fan ,but respect those who play and without pay!!

I listened to the game and it came in loud and clear in Richlands . I may have missed something and I would appreciate clarification ! Did Union try an onside kick that went out of bounds or did they just kick it out of bounds?

I do remember and not taking anything aways from Graham or Marion, they were better those games because they won! Union is just a rivalry for us. No History like Graham - Bluefield , or Richlands -Tazewell-. Richlands -Graham or Richlands Gate City just Barn Burner Games. I am trying to say that we have a new nemesis with the same intensity as our old nemesis previously named.

All the Blue Tornado fans I know will be in your corner next Saturday. They are beatable .. Blues had em on the ropes in 2015 ,but they showed a lot of grit and came back for the win.So don't relax unless you have a big lead late.GO BEARS

Richlands is the best team you played this year. What a rivalry this has become.Union is up 2 on us so we need to win 2 in 2018.GO BEARS. I hope to be there and see how Appo players like the long long bus ride or the overnight stay here in the Great Southwest.

High School Football sometimes brings out the worst in us . I don't dislike anything about Graham High School or any of the players . I knew Coach Carlock fairly well and had great respect for him. I sometimes say things just to jerk a chain or 2 . Just bear in mind a saying my Dad often used" everybody thinks his crow is he blackest"I will be a Man fan if they make it to Salem.

Just my opinion sir. Union has class ,your players showed their butt the last time they played and they got a well deserved butt kicking. GO BEARS !

I am a Blue Tornado Fan and if I get to the game I would like to mix with you Union Guys. Is that a problem for you Bears ?

Why are they apparently so much better than our teams?Are they just having an exceptional run talent wise?Will they see a downturn anytime soon? Richlands had them beaten in 2015 with 6 + minutes left and then just totally gave it away.

Not Good for news for Graham if they win next week.
