He replied, "There is nothing to do here." he went on to say how its mostly farm land and crap. Where as morgantown was voted one of the best small cities a few years ago. beano5 14 Report Share Posted April 27, 2006 from a standpoint of someone who doesnt really lean toward either side...i think WVU has better fans because they are better at getting into the other teams heads...yeah Blacksburg is loud...but its just a bunch of noise...WVU fans get into the heads...and West Virginia WAS a part of Virginia so no one from this area can really talk crap about each other.... Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted April 27, 2006 I have to burst any bubbles, but there isn't anything more to do in Morgantown than in Blacksburg. I've been to Morgantown mamy, many, many times to visit friends at WVU and party. As far as towns go, Blacksburg is laid out much better and simply pretty IMO. The actual town of Morgantown reminds me of a glorified coal town because you have houses all over the hills and they sit right on top of one another. It reminds me a lot of a bigger version of Welch. Plus in Morgantown you're too close to the state of Pennsylvania for comfort... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
