What is eligible in VA?

In West Virginia you have to maintain a 2.0 GPA to be eligible, whereas in Virginia you are required to pass 5 of the 8 classes in which you are enrolled in for that school year.

In Kyle Harris' case, he passed 5 classes at Bluefield but didn't meet the minimum 2.0 GPA.

I was thinking about what I saw in the video and look at how much time elapses before Graham emerges with the ball. There is seriously a good 5-10 seconds in between when Will apparently crosses the goal line and the Graham kid comes out of the pile with the ball. You also don't see any Graham players giving the signal that they came up with the ball. I know most of them could not see what was happening, but if a Graham player had the ball in the endzone before Will crossed the goal line (which I don't see how that happened unless he fumbled into the endzone) I would think that at least one of his teammates would know and that would carry on to the rest of the guys.

Watch the play very closely around the goalline and you will see that the entire pile was almost completely in the endzone. The refs told Coach Simon that they never saw Will cross the goalline... How can the entire pile that Will is a part of be laying in the endzone, but he didn't make it? Interesting...

About the refs:

You see the head ref and the others just looking around at each other, but the side judge on Bluefield's sideline seemed to have a good view and was waiting for his colleagues (sp?) to confirm what he may have or may not have seen. He looked rather suprised when they just walked off the field and he was still standing there.

When I first saw them walk off, and since they had given no official signal as to what happened, I thought they were going to converge and make a call. But I sat there and watched them trot on back in to their little "panic room" and stay there until 1:15 that morning. Yes, they didn't leave until 1:15 on Saturday, along with a police escort, only after every car had left the parking lot.

I am getting tired of talking about this, but it really kills me to know that those boys played their hearts out on that last drive going the farthest distance possible and apparently winning the game, but being robbed by a bad no call.

Like someone said, I hope they are focused on Princeton this week, because no matter how "not good" Princeton is, if they are stuck on the hard loss from last week, they could get upset by the Tigers. Bluefield has a good football team yet again. Marcus is a monster and I hope he can continue to play that way, but both lines are going to have to step it up. Our entire defense was getting manhandled by Graham in the 2nd half and that was one of the factors that lead to the loss. Our O-line consists of 4 sophomores and a junior and I am not completely sure about the D-line, but both are going to have to put some hard work in this season to have a chance to play on to the championship.

Well, I gotta get up at good ol' 6:15 tomorrow. I think I am done raving about this for tonight.

God bless you all.

Them refs must have stopped off at the tailgating in the parking lot before the game and drunk 'em a bunch of Colt 45's along with us other drunks. I passed out behind the far concession stand (I never could get nothing to eat there btw) and come to around midnite and the whole stadium was locked up, so them refs must have been back down in the park partying again.

because if you watch the video and look at about :38 seconds you will see him get up and he's not under the pile in the endzone...the pile went in but he wasn't in it...the ball came out at some point...it's impossible to tell at what point that actually happened.

I don't see why this is still being discussed. The game is over, Graham won. Maybe we got screwed, maybe we didn't. Bluefield has Princeton this week and 8 other teams after that.

I seriously wish this thread would get locked or deleted. LET IT GO.

it's still being discussed because it's the big play of the week man...nothing wrong with that...that's exactly what this board was designed to do...give people a place to talk about this very sort of thing...if you don't want to read it then you don't have to nor do you have to comment on it if you do not wish to do so...but don't try to deny others the chance if they so wish.

:)

Hmmmm, wasn't aware that I was preventing anyone from discussing. I'm simply exercising my right as much as they are theirs to talk about it.

asking for the thread to be deleted or locked is what I was referring to...no biggie.
