frontierman95 10 Report Share Posted March 27, 2009 Hitler played on the beliefs of the German people toward the Jews. He needed a scapegoat for the run away inflation and economic depression happening in Germany. All he did was voice what many people felt when he first came to prominence. However, there has been a witch hunt in the recent months in the US. The wealthy are being viewed as the cause of the current economic problems and there has been a lot of voices calling for them to be held accountable. On a Glen Beck program, a guest said that some people have even called for the executives at AIG to be killed (maybe even their families; can't remember) if they don't give the bonuses back. This is a belief that the great Obama has not only not done anything to stop, but has added to it.
buzzsawBeaver 12 Report Share Posted March 27, 2009 Good post overall frontierman, hitler felt betrayed europe and the germans in power after world war 1 and sought to establish germany as the world power afterwards and in doing so purposely filled many germans with hatred towards jews and some surrounding ethnics by blaming all of germany's hardships on them, much the the way this administration is turning so many people against the wealthy and big business. Ironically so many poor don't realize where the government gets most of their $s from, who it is that creates businesses and jobs and who really makes this country financially successful. In a sports example it's sort of like making a team hate all it's really good players and somehow blaming all problems or lack of success on them. Much like blaming the have nots lack of playing time on the good players and saying we're going to change that and make every player an equal and still expecting the team to be successful. So if they intend to persecute the wealthy and very profitable businesses in the u.s. they'll bring this country down rather quickly and that seems to be exactly what they're doing. It's a formula for disaster for certain and anyone with any common sense should realize it...
buzzsawBeaver 12 Report Share Posted March 27, 2009 Dont' get me wrong I DO NOT THINK FOR ONE MINUTE that President Obama will start doing the things that Hitler, Stalin and Lenin did in their respective countries, regarding hate, concentration camps, genocide, ethnic persecution, etc. HOwever, I do believe that he and his administration are conducting themselves straight from the Fascism playbook in regards to social programs, statist ideology and the merging of corporations and govt. But bucfan that is because they expect to silence those on the opposite side without that much trouble, sometimes the trouble starts when the other side says absolutely not. People have to question, exactly what does this administration intend to have an arm a civilian defense force for? Since when did America ever require a defense force that is loyal to an administration and the government that is indoctrinated with that 1 side's beliefs.? fieldgeneral 10 Report Share Posted March 28, 2009 Any comparison between Hitler and any US President is anti-american. Pretty stupid. Sure we can claim anyone with fame or wanting to use it to their advantage or what ever could be compared to Hitler. It's funny how some people will stop at nothing to throw the President under the bus. I'm just curious what all will be said here if things start to turn for the good. Fighton_3 10 Report Share Posted March 28, 2009 Blame it on the sheep who have nobody else in mind but themselves and/or who their buddies support. There is no unity to team America, and that's the problem.

Just Like I said in a previous post, IT WAS PERFECTLY fine for the Dems and the LEFT to compare Bush to HITLER but God forbid that anyone compare SAVIOR OBAMA to anything other than the Lord himself. I have studied Political Science for 11 years, I have a degree in political science and I can assure you that what is happening right now in AMERICA is .....FASCISM! Both LEFT AND RIGHT ARE LEFT! Not all democrats or all lefties compared him to Hitler.....that's called stereotyping to fit your arguement. I'm a registered Dem and I've never compared him to Hitler...maybe Gomer Pyle a time or two but never Hitler. That's pretty serious accusations and pretty sad in my book. Savior Obama? You really need to get a hold of yourself and get over this messiah / savior crap. I agree that our government isn't working like it should be, but can we recall when it has completely? I would love for our elected officials to look back at our founding fathers and want the same things and fight for those things with the same passion, but they don't. Things are different and we have elected these people. Unfortunately, noone who opposes to their nonsense will go out there and run against them. Bucfan, why don't you go and challenge the represenative in your area next election? You seem knowledgable and passionate, and you've studied poli sci for 11 years, go for it. Action is the best response. We can sit on here and talk about it all day, but it doesn't do much good. I saw your tea-party and that's great. But you've got to go further if you want anyone to take it seriously. Use the tea-party as your coming out party, tell everyone what is wrong with America and how you'd fix it. Maybe you can start getting a following for the next election. In the Constitution is says that if the Government isn't fulfilling it's duty to the people then the people have the right and duty to change it. So, change it or make that attempt. Guest JJBrickface Report Share Posted March 28, 2009 fieldgeneral, You are correct that it wasn't all Democrats who compared him to Hitler. But how many came out to defend their President? You can't deny the hatred toward Bush. You also can't say it was all on policy. George W. Bush was HATED by Democrats the day that he took oath. Al Gore made the situation worse by not conceding. September 11, 2001 occurred and the country united. The unity quickly wore off and it was back to the Bush bashing.

September 11, 2001 occurred and the country united. The unity quickly wore off and it was back to the Bush bashing. How many here are defending their President now? You can't say that it should be one way one time and then be part of the problem the next. George W. Bush was a joke. I hoped and prayed from day 1 of his administration that someone would guide him in the right path, but that didn't work out. I still to this day don't know how he was elected a second time. I am an educated person and know many who are not. I should never feel more intelligent than our President. I felt our nation was laughed at many times because of him and his good ole boy approach. It was very sad to watch him stumble around on his words in front of the camera. As far as myself, I never bashed from the beginning. I gave him a fair chance, but a second term was fueled by the Republicans trying to convince everyone that their guns were going to be taken away and the fear of another terror attack. I thought the unity was great, but any bashing after 9-11 was warranted because of the great idea to invade Iraq.......wrong time for that. I'm not denying the hatred or bashing. As for the politicians......that is part of what is wrong with Washington. For the people, they wanted some change and they voted to not stay the course with McCain. Had another Republican with a better idea been running, we may have had another President, who knows. There is no need to hate any President. Anyway, as I said earlier some need to do something rather than say something if they are not happy with government.
Guest JJBrickface Report Share Posted March 29, 2009 I don't doubt that you are an intelligent person but from what you said it looks as if your were duped by the media. George W. Bush is not a dumb guy, there is a reason he was a two term president. Don't let the media form your opinions.
dawgs05 10 Report Share Posted March 29, 2009 This is definitely another thing to add to the garrison of things upon which I don't see eye-to-eye with Obama. But I think it's definitely overboard to call him Fuhrer. That's too loaded a word to throw around lightly. If anyone was to be called "Fuhrer" I think our last president was more clearly suited to the title..... I sometimes wonder if Charlie Chaplin's satire of Hitler way back in the way was actually a foreshadowing of Bush......as a bumbling head of state

dawgs05 10 Report Share Posted March 29, 2009 I never said he was the fuhrer.....but if we were in a most similar comparison debate then Bush is definitely a more likely fit than Obama......wait til Obama's term is over before the verdict on him is out.......if Bush would've been judged based on his first 2 months in office then he would've been forever known as our "vacation" president.......However, the rest of his term clearly defined his legacy. Let me know when Obama takes away privacy rights of millions of American citizens, initiates a war based on absolute lies that he knows are BS, and becomes too stupid and arrogant to admit he's wrong while continuing to run the country in the ground

You're not outright rejecting the view, and you're lending your implicit support to it. Seems like you're trying to curtsy around this statement... To your point in this post, of course, there will be no final verdict until Obama leaves office (in 4 years, at this pace). No one here's questioning or defining his legacy. But it's blind sheep-like faith to not question the actions the man has taken while he's been in office.
