edrforshey 27 Report Share Posted August 8, 2009 Yes, Its correct.  Capital is scrimmaging in the Grid on Friday vs both of their 2nd and 3rd regular season opponents. Cabell Midland Princeton  There were 4 scrimmages in the Grid that somehow matched up regular season opponents, and noone said anything about it to the league commisioneer when it first came out.  The only person I heard said anything about the Grid schedule was Coach Hensley at Riverside didn't like Capital on Friday evening and then his Warriors having to scrimmage us, Parkersburg, on Saturday morning, cause it gave Capital a extra day to be ready and heal up for the Thursday evening regular season kickoff between Capital and Riverside. I saw where VHSLhelper had only four teams on his list who was playing in it and I don't think Grundy would be facing East Ridge because they play each other in regular season so that only leaves S. Floyd and Hurley....it would be interesting if Grundy and Hurley got to face each other. Â I always thought there was more than 4 teams that was in that. swvasport_7 10 Report Share Posted August 12, 2009 Well my question got answered in the Va. Mountaineer today, they will now be playing any downs aganist Hurley as of now. They will be switching out between S. Floyd and East Ridge. Kind of dumb I think since there playing East Ridge in the regular season, sadly I think its because there afraid Hurley would run over them and they don't want anybody making fun of them worse than they are now.
