Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted March 23, 2010 Here is another comment from Watcher that needs to be filed in the "Are you serious?" archives. Driving is a privilege and a choice for those who can afford a car!!! You aren't forced to have a driver's license if you don't want one and you aren't forced to pay a fine for not having a driver's license if you don't want one!!! Wow, I can't believe I missed that gem!

It's like trying to find the letter "N" below hidden within the "Ms." You have to look for it. bhs7695 185 Report Share Posted March 23, 2010 I just read that its a $2000 fine per employee if a company has at least 50 employees. That will definitely hurt in my opinion. I rest my case. My company has employees that don't have health insurance because they either don't want it or get their coverage through their spouse's plan. You aren't forced to have a driver's license if you don't want one and you aren't forced to pay a fine for not having a driver's license if you don't want one!!! What he said. Driving is a privilege just like a student riding a school bus. A lot of progressives (Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Olbermann, Maddow, etc.) are saying that national healthcare is a right that all Americans should have. Only the Constitution grants you rights. To help get rid of all this debt (Obamacare, Stimulus), don't be surprised if they pass a national sales tax down the road. Good luck comrades. bucfan64 309 Report Share Posted March 24, 2010 (edited) I really hope that he meant to say "car insurance", instead of "drivers license". Either way, still a poor analogy. Correct! What he fails to realize is that there are some states that do not require auto insurance. The big point being STATES are responsible for this not the FEDERAL GOVT.! Poorl analogy and totally wrong on top of that, STATES RIGHTS VS FED GOVT. RIGHTS is the issue here not not just health care. Guest BEAVERTAIL Report Share Posted March 25, 2010 Socialism defends against a country that fails to provide equal opportunities for everyone to maximize their potential, and does not utilize technology and resources to their maximum potential nor in the interests of the public. We have to provide equal oppurtunities with the equal rights of Healthcare as the wealthy provide for those who can not for themselves. Looks like we will be living in one for years. Sorry to break it to you and your lame snide comments that provide no information except being annoying as usual, and talking as if you are above everyone which you are obviously not. (i.e. all political discussions, name dropping, and Bobby Cox) And really, does a moderate/liberal newsource not make it obvious before all this? Quit hiding from the obvious... (i.e. all political discussions, name dropping, and Bobby Cox) not sure what your problem is...but if you don't like it, me, or anything else that goes on here...feel free to go elsewhere at any time. political discussions humor me, i dont really have a lot to say in most of them...there are a few real experts here that make me laugh most of the time...most places online in forums like this dont even allow them because of the problems they bring...I get a kick out of reading what people think though and I try to have some fun with it here and there...that's about the extent of it. as for me talking as if i am above anyone else...don't know where you get that from at all...guessing you are just shooting your mouth off as usual on that one. as for name dropping...i don't have to name drop...not sure where you get that from either. Bobby Cox...he's a wife beater who leaves his pitchers in longer than he should, other than that I don't have a problem with him really? what's your point? You just upset because he is a wife beater or because I happened to meet him that same day it happened? or that I mentioned that I met him that day? which part is it exactly that pissed you off? Newsweek also had Roger Coleman on the cover with the headline "An innocent man may be put to death"....don't believe everything you read on the cover of a magazine. But for real...don't waste your time hanging out if I bother you so much, I'm sure you can find a better place to spend your time.

blueinbama 259 Report Share Posted March 25, 2010 everyone neds to check this out http://www.nytimes.com/imagepages/2009/06/21/health/policy/21poll_graphic_ready.html This poll is from the most liberal newspaper in the country, "The New York Times". What do you expect the results to reflect? There are just as many polls out there that show the opposite. This is a joke, and it means nothing. I have plenty of places to go and its not like Im living here on this site... I havent posted much on here lately, but I have been reading. I guess since you take so lightly this country and what it is doing now it really gets on my nerves. I dont read enough news and watch to post like I used to, but I do know the issues and I know my stance. People without spines, I cite your Huckabee/Paul thread where you go from saying they could win to saying they could never win ( http://www.swvasports.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17876 ) really just ticks me off. Our country is going to hell in a handbasket and some people just don't care or make light of it... Are some of our fellow countrymen like Lance that shallow??? kythunder 17 Report Share Posted March 26, 2010 (edited) You all blame the president but WE elected him! The CONGRESS passed the bill! So how is it all his fault? Blame yourself or the Gov. if you dont like it. When you say WE I take it you have a mouse in your pocket? I didnt vote for him and for the first time in my life I have no respect for the office because this guy is a total clown but what do you expect when the Democratic party has become the backbone and enabler for "cheese eaters are us". They turned this Democrat into a full blown Republican and by the way I didnt leave the Democratic party it left me. The Democratic Party is leaving the reasonable Democrats behind, and it's happening a little more every day.
