If your main offense is a spread...QB gets shotgun snap....two receivers split each side...one yard gaps in your line...Qb runs for life as soon as he gets ball and tackled for loss.... I can see where that goes into box as a run. As has been the norm at Lee most fans are really not sure what they have been attempting to accomplish.....run, pass or implode.

Freshmen that is playing had family donate $5000 to boosters this year kid is strong but does not know his plays and is having to be covered up by other players He needs to grow and will be tough in years to come just not this year. Playing time should be earned on the practice field. Not by-name or booster pockets

I heard Collier should play tonight. IMO Lee is the only team left on GC schedule that has a chance in beating them. Both teams need this win to secure a playoff spot. Lee will have their fare share of players with injuries off tonight due to injuries. Hopefully will be a good game. If we was playing at GC I would say GC by how ever many they would like but being at Lee I expect a closer game than many may think.

Is the grass at Five Star Stadium still eight inches high like they used to keep it. You used to be able to tell what kind of team Lee had by the height of the grass, if they had a fast team is was short and if they were slow it was high.

Another nice win for the Devils. Playoff picture is coming into sight gotta finish 2-0 vs JSB and WC.

 

Without Rasnic, Lee High wouldn't be anything. Their passing game is non existent, very 1 dimensional. Rasnic touched the ball 28 times for 108 yards.

 

Collier had another solid night for the Devils, he finished with 194 yards passing and two TDs. He also added 17 carries for 85 yards and two more TDs. (According to stats posted on this forum this week, that makes him 6 TDs away from having 100 career TDs.)

 

Grizzle on the defensive side of the ball for GC had a stellar night with 19.5 tackles (18 solo).

No need to go there Larry...nobody went there on GC without Collier on team. You can bash our coaches and even our school board but leave kids out of it. Lee has some talent on field year after year. Not there fault they don't get coached up.

We know it about Collier, not gonna hurt any feelings here. Our team goes as Collier goes. Hamilton doesn't get his big plays without Collier, Calhoun doesn't get his 7-8 yards a pop without Collier there to keep the defense at bay with the read option, Pyne doesn't get his receiving yards without Collier there to throw it to him. Our team (offense) is built around Collier.

 

And just like Lee High, they go as Rasnic goes. Without him they are lost. He's their leader and main source of yardage, they didn't produce anything the couple of drives he was out. Lee High was absolutely no threat through the air, once they finally completed a deep pass, it was stripped away by Reid Smith who earlier in the game picked off Pendagraft. Pendagraft burnt us a couple times with his legs when the pocket collapsed, but it was mostly Rasnic. And anyone who was in Ben Hur last night knows it.

I question the play calling by lee since last year. Seems a coaching change has done nothing but continue with the same problems.

 

Lee, gate city, and central will all be hurting once their stud leaves. It's like that every year.

Been alot of folks including some of your coaches who have said they would love to have Lee players to work with and Rasnic was not in conversation. Thought there were several lineman that had huge upside...some young backs that showed lots of promise and some really good reciever/Db prospects. Just don't understand how they don't play better. Maybe Rasnic was only thing on field whole night with game plan coaches brought to field. You are probably correct....keep telling your remaining GC players they suck and Collier all you got and see how next year turns out for ya. Who knows....maybe we can send another Lee County product to bail you out.

No one ever said that any of our players suck, all that was said is that Collier is our leader and is such a vital part of our offense, so much is built around him. He's even a factor on plays that he doesn't even gain any yardage.

 

And I think if Sallee gets a step or two quicker he will be a fine quarterback for us. He's a true passing QB and has a good arm for a Freshman. A 6'3 180lb Freshman at that.

 

Lee hasn't been able to beat Gate City since 1998, you can do all the talking in the world but it won't matter. We're on to John Battle.

Couldn't you say that about every team lol?

 

Union will struggle once Mitchell,Fannon, both Sitdhams, Turner, etc.. Are gone.

Graham will struggle once Cousin is gone, etc..

Union will be fine alot of talent coming no not James Mitchell but good talent.
