The Blues grew up some last week in their win against the Falcons.  The offense was able to stay on the field moving  the ball and let the defense get some much needed rest.  In the Union game,  it was 3-0 going into the 4th Q and the Blues D was gassed in the 4th.  Just could not stop the big bodies of the Bears.  Against Gate City, the O and D were still having burping spurts (being the first game), and let that game slip away, like a carboard box ride on a sagebrush hill.

Tomorrow night against Bluefield, (third game playing against wildlife teams, Bears (land), Falcons (air) and now the Beavers (water), can it catapult them to a win, not sure.  Hopefully, the Blues can set some traps to capture the Beavers.  Whether they come out of Mitchell with a win or not, I think they have found some consistency on both sides of the ball which shows the Tornado may be upgraded in their win(d) rotation.

The blues played tough.  Simmons played good with all the pressure and Webb put the team on his shoulders in the first half.  For bluefield.  I was impressed with Martin , Davis , and house.  The kicker is great too   . Good sportsmanship on both sides. Bluefield is the better team. No one can argue that and be taken seriously.  The blues played tough.  Kept it within reach most of night. Good game. Bad officiating for sure.   But the best team won and the blues played well enough to beat most of the remaining team a on their schedule.  Good ball game.  A lot of players on that field that will play Saturday ball. Don’t get to see that each week.
