Union_Fan 2,156 Report Share Posted October 10, 2021 (edited) Official VHSL PowerPoints are supposed to be out tomorrow. Lots of un-played games out there that still don't have a determination. Hopefully, VHSL will have some updated info on those, and I'll adjust my calculations accordingly. I did give Va High the win over Honaker, but I will certainly update should the Tigers pull out an upset tomorrow night. 2D 01.) Graham 5-0 116 23.2 02.) Va High 5-0 112 22.4 03.) Union_Fan 2,156 Author Report Share Posted October 11, 2021 Official PPs have been released. I will update mine to reflect theirs with the exception of 5 things of note...1. )They haven't counted VaHigh/Honaker yet. 2.)They aren't counting Montcalm's forfeit victory over Jenkins, Ky yet. 3.) They don't have the Parry McCluer victory over Rural Retreat. 4.) Apparently, Roanoke Catholic and Fuqua count for points. 5.) They haven't counted Claiborne, TN's covid victory over Union Co, TN. This affects Thomas Walker by 1 pt.(if counted they would have 85 instead of 84) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MClhoNOe27n0eTNdyLIS5fMf8p09fAwx/view https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RsBZ964kvxC4NZljukM6g3XAl_OAZEqv/view
BandanaVTDavis4321 1,719 Report Share Posted October 11, 2021 Union fan, if Union beats Central and Abingdon and wins out, and Graham loses one game on the year to Pulaski, who likely is the one seed? Union or Graham or VA High (assuming they only lose to Graham and finish with one loss like Union and Graham)?

It's very early, and I would basically have to flip a coin on many games remaining, but a one loss Graham can still outpoint a one loss Union. In a battle of one loss teams Va High would fall behind Graham, Union and Ridgeview.

goose111874 967 Report Share Posted October 11, 2021 Will Burton get credit for a win vs Rye Cove or will Burton reschedule. Might be only game they can win

Wouldn't Ridgeview outpoint us also if they win out

For some reason, RV always finds a way to outpoint Union. Getting a few wins out of Grundy would help!
SwvaOG 604 Report Share Posted October 12, 2021 Are they taking Top 8 on PP and seeding them or are they taking top 4 in each district and cross bracketing them? I would prefer the later …ensured more variety of matchups.

SwvaOG 604 Report Share Posted October 13, 2021 18 hours ago, goose111874 said: Looks like it's gonna be 4 from each either way Yeah, but it will make a big difference in matchups. It so happens that no one will be screwed over by not making it one way or the other…which is good but the matchups would be significantly different. If they do the cross bracket we are guaranteed some first round matchups that we haven’t seen. Cross bracket (assuming projected finishes): 1)Graham vs 4)Gate City; 2) Virginia High host 3)Central 1)Union hosts 4)Tazewell and 2) Ridgeview host 3) Richlands. I love this and it allows for some bragging rights between the two conferences. Straight power points would give us this scenario: 1) Graham vs 8)Gate Cit; 2)Va High vs 7)Tazewell; 3)Union vs 6) Richlands; 4)RV vs 5) Central Half of these matchups are inter conference and not intra-conference.
