Noticed no one from the wine and cheese district had posted on this yet.. Abingdon lost to Christiansburg with 7 seconds left on the clock. It was back and forth all night with 5 Abingdon starters out on Covid protocol.
Everyone is back ( maybe even a surprise ).
Abingdon has not won in Richlands since 1978. Ryan, old buddy, we don’t need to miss this one. You and I were there in 2015 when we should’ve beat you all on paper by 2 scores. We lost by 40+ and needed a med-vac unit to get home.

I now know a person who died of COVID 19...or do I?
He was in early 80s and had survived multiple battles with cancer. He fell at home injuring his head and was taken to the hospital where he suffered another fall. He was admitted and tested positive for COVID 19 and later passed away. He had not been suffering symptoms of COVID 19 prior to his fall at home.
So, his death won't be because of advanced age, natural causes, long-term effects of cancer, or organ failure as a result of the consecutive falls. In the eyes of health officials, he died of COVID 19. Ballad Health will receive a 20% Medicare premium and his death will be counted with the other 148,000+ in the U.S..
I can’t believe I’m coming out of retirement for this, but, it’s time to set the record straight. Kids during Coach Reed’s tenure did not like or respect him. They loved Coach Colobro and Coach Amburgey (who was the OC during those years).
Have you noticed how many ex-players come back now to help and tutor? Amburgey creates that kind of atmosphere. Reed never could. All the players that I know despise him

BigO. Doss and Sturgill are going to Hampton this weekend along with Howie and Asbury. Humphies from PH is going out there as well. Coach Palmer from PH is one of the coaches. VERY underrated coach!
Thanks Vitale. I get your point. Some of us Falcon fans still have raw nerves about this season. Sorry for the name calling. Just know that if Abingdon would have a game this week against the freaking Cowboys, we would be drinking the kool-aid for our team and holding freaking parades.

The problem with Abingdon is that they have a great academic school. They draw a lot of kids who should be going to Holston, JSB, and PH because of strong academics.
IF the program can remain competitive over the next couple of years and the 3-4 best athletes from those schools decide to come, then they will have something special going on.
