That blows my mind also. He is a great young man but hands down Owens not making it is ludacris in my opinion. 

And Dakota Owens should've been first team RB over Zirkle.

Full blown flu for half the team. It was a miserable trip I remember it all to well. 

That was a heck of a game as well. Was one of the funniest calls in the huddle when coach Turner asked us what we wanted to do and one of our linemen said kick a field goal. That didn’t go over to well. 

He may as well have cussed Coach lol. Kick a field goal ?. 

You took the words from my mouth. I have more respect for Richlands then any other opponent I’ve ever played. Well coached. Fans are great. Players are polite. I can’t brag enough on the preparation they did against us. Job well done. Heck, I’m proud of them. Great ball game. Reminds me of Appy at Gate City in 1993. The hook and ladder play. Wow!!!!  Safe travels back to Richlands all. 

There is a general arrogance about Wise. That's why their consolidation hasn't gone as smoothly as Union's. Appy and PV were rivals, but there is real hatred toward Wise from the Pound folks. However, most of it has to do with the students maybe more so than the fans themselves.
Their students have a long history(50+ years...see video) of prejudice and using racial slurs. A few years ago some Burton students created a Twitter referencing the walmart Warriors. Central students retaliated with a Twitter acount entitled the Norton.....(insert racial slur here). Their students have routinely used racial slurs during Union games and their students have created controversy during volleyball and basketball games. Warranted or not these actions have given Cental a bad rep.
 

Good win for the bears. Take away 20 fumbles and the score should have been 28-0 at the half. I missed it bad saying 42-14 MW I ate my crow at the game haha. I still don't trust our secondary although Qualls really impresses me and Mitchelle  as well. I noticed a few changes in secondary and i liked it. Was not impressed at all with MW and think many SWVA teams could roll them. Last thing I hope the two kids that were injured are ok. 

Union's front 7 on D won that game...dominated every quarter.

That was a man's win tonight by Union.  Took on a team with a superior numbers advantage, down themselves, and held their own.

I had not heard that Lester was hurt. It must’ve happened in practice or maybe in a JV game. I don’t understand why if we were serious about him playing some quarterback we would have him playing in JV games. I still say Qualls is our best option with Mitchell in the wildcat occasionally. I think tonight’s game will help us come playoff time.

It's not players 1-11 that win you ball games. Is the depth of players 12-20 that win games. When a school has 20 total players, there isn't much depth there compared to a team with 70.

Gonna have to find a QB before we get the passing game going.  I think I'm the only Union fan who has noticed how bad the offense looks right now.  I keep hoping we go to Qualls but he seems to be the third choice.

It's to early to tell but if Union doesn't get away from the wildcat and get Qualls in a QB and go back to Union football i feel it will be a long season from here on out. Mitchell is a heck of a player i just don't think he will survive many games with what they are trying to do right now. Jut my opinion.

I'll have to agree with you an Appalachia if there were playoffs going back 15-20 years you could add 4 or 5 state titles. Appy had a 5 year run from 1965-1969 were they went 47-2-1 and 2-2-1 vs gate city being their only blemishes and no one out east was going to stop Edd Clark

Prayers for Bailey and Travis/Leslie. This is no time to debate who should start , the team will close ranks and take a load off of the back up. The important thing is Bailey will heal , good luck and heal up

I think the qualls kid is a awesome QB it sucks If we lost him but 10 back there will put another threat back there with is legs an he can throw.  Was always the QB in 8th 9th grade.  He isnt listed as the back up but i guarantee If Bailey is out he will be back there.  An from what I just Hurd he is fine got a few text from coaches that he is ok.

I have a kid in that team. So it would serve you well to watch the comments. They weren't even the stadium and couldn't hear the anthem being played. Post a name or message any of us and we can discuss. Takes a tough guy to hide behind a screen and callout a bunch of 16 year olds.
