  1. Spotsylvania, the number 2 seed, has moved their home game to Richmond to the home field of their opponent Thomas Jefferson, the number 3 seed.
  2. Is there a reason that Abingdon is in the M7 instead of the Southwest?
  3. Has there been any repercussions for these cheaters?

  5. It is ok to disagree. Forums are for civilized discussion.
  6. Mount View becomes only the third school in WV history to win a playoff game in all three of West Virginia's classifications. Ravenswood and Musselman are the others.
  7. We all know that Cam Allen of Graham is the best player in this coverage area. But after watching the game today I honestly believe Devin Lester is the 2nd best player in the coverage area.
  8. Bluefield started running clock and 8 minute quarters at the beginning of the 2nd Q
  9. You guys kill me. You act as if games were not moved back in the day. We played in mud up to our knees mentality. Games were moved "ALL THE TIME" due to rain and snow and sometimes even cancelled. Now I realize that when the postponed games were played it was still quite muddy and not ideal. We are smarter and have the ability to know more about weather so why not take advantage of it? Go back and look through the score sheets I have on each team's history and look at all the postponed games. The only difference is they were played on Saturday, Monday or a mutual open date in the future.
  10. Heritage Lynchburg and Rustburg. Broad Run and Thomas Edison now on Thursday.
  11. 1 Bluefield 2 Pulaski County 3 Graham 4 Chilhowie 5. Galax 6 Abingdon 7 Radford 8 Ridgeview 9 Union 10 Grayson County
  12. Because it doesn't meet playoff standards.
  13. In WV there are no districts or regions. So lower seeds can have to travel up to 6 hrs for a first round game so they are given the time selection. Bluefield gets to select where the game is played but not the time.
  14. The High school games depended on Oak Hill. If they picked Saturday then the Graham game would have been on Friday. Bluefield has no say in when the game is played.
  15. Graham vs VA High Sat 1:00 Bluefield vs Oak Hill Fri 7:30
  16. Fairmont is considered the favorite by most due to their fine QB. Bridgeport is solid but not as good as last year even though they have a great power half back. The interesting game could be Point Pleasant and Fairmont in the quarter final. I consider Point Pleasant to be the third best team in WV AA. They also have a fine QB. He was healthy as a Junior last year in the regular season game vs Bluefield but had an ankle injury in the playoff. Bluefield is capable of winning it all but they have to start behaving themselves at school, put the team first, and cut out the fumbles. It is really hard to gauge teams now because there are so few quality opponents. Fairmont only played 1 quality team (Bridgeport) and 2 decent teams (Weir and RCB). Bluefield only played 2 quality teams (Botetourt and Graham) and lost to one of them.
  17. If true the two events are not connected and what you speak of is irrelevant.
  18. Pikeview DID get points for beating Mount View. They got single A points (6) and 8 bonus points for each of Mount View's wins (and maybe one more if Mt View beats Greenbrier West). They got more points for that win than either game this past season. You DO get base points in WV when you play down and you DO get bonus points (rider) if there are any to get. You just don't get as many base points as you do when you play in your own class or higher. In WV you don't get any points if you LOSE. Mt. View got zero points for the loss to Pikeview.
  19. On your football --- stripes or no stripes?

  21. To me it is a wash. Va gives you the same points for playing below your class as in your class which is not good. VA also gives too many points to a team for losing. However they do consider and give weight to who you lose to. WV does not and that is a big negative for WV. In WV losing to the best team in the state in the same as losing to the worst. At least in Va they give you some credit for who you lose to. I have an idea for a system but it involves subtracting various levels of points for losses but it would never fly because below zero ratings would not fit in our "Everybody gets a trophy" world.
