  1. Graham's defense has been the story so far this season.......just not in a good way. At the beginning of the season Graham's biggest question mark was the O line which is still suspect but I never figured their defense would have struggled against quality opponents like they have. Cam and Chris both not only helped in the passing game but they helped tremendously in coming up and stopping the run. They have improved on playing more disciplined. Anxious to see if that continues in a big game.
  2. Is there anyway we can see a picture of this ruby gal you speak of?
  3. I don't know much about the Myers kid. Nunley belongs on the field I'm just not sure QB is his position. I can say Jared Mullins is a leader, a very fierce competitor, and he happens to play QB pretty darn good. Jared has a die first then quit attitude. If there is anything in this world that will help Tazewell out more than x's and o's it is the attitude of Jared Mullins. If those kids would adopt his attitude then Tazewell will be hard to handle next year.
  4. Individuals on this board can speak to this way more than I can, including yourself. I'm assuming colleges look for the size in a lineman and that's it. If they have the frame I guess they feel like they can do the rest as far as strength and technique. If some of you guys on here with knowledge of how the "recruiting process" works and what these schools look for I would love to hear it. May be a completely separate thread so we don't hijack this thread lol
  5. I think you'll see a difference this week in the penalties. To me Graham needs to try to establish a running game early on offense. Defensively they just need to be more disciplined. Reduce the penalties and keep to their assignments. Just my two cents worth. Lol
  6. Anybody with any commonsense whatsoever can read the original post and come to the conclusion that he is #24 himself or a parent of #24. I was the one that brought that point up. I am not an Admin of this board. With that said, I do not know Narrows Football no more than I know anything about Grundy Football. What was said in the original post may very well be true. Narrows may benefit greatly from utilizing the kid more. I have no clue. I'm a sarcastic person and fully expect a good dose of it in return. Although I have tried to dial it back a bit because people seem to take it to heart especially through messaging. If I offended this kid or his parents in any way I apologize. Good luck to Narrows the rest of the way!!
  7. I used to work in Richlands several years ago. The Kone was always my favorite place to eat in town. Went there a few weeks before they closed and it wasn't the same to say the least. I don't know if I just caught them on a bad day or if it had went downhill.
  8. Pretty interesting. Brent is a great kid!!!
  9. How many points per game are they allowing?
  10. Isn't Narrows undefeated at this point?? You must be #24 or #24's mom or dad.
  11. You are probably about to feel the heat from every mom and dad on the team that see their precious child as the next star at Ohio St. or Clemson. With that said........I agree. I honestly didn't see Graham as being as good or better than last year. I know many did. They do have the potential to make a very deep run in the playoffs if they get their act together. If the Blevins kid could just take a deep breath and settle down I think he has the potential to throw well and be a great asset to the team. At this point he comes across as a kid that's scared to death to "fail". The penalties are careless. At the beginning of last year they had several unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. This year holding, false start, and offside penalties are killing them. Curious to see how they close out the year.
  12. If this gets overturned I will be surprised.
  13. Congrats to Richlands on a great win. Way to represent Tazewell county and Region D tonight Blues!!!!!
  14. I'll keep my mouth shut on my predictions this week!! Lol. I took a beating. @stu_bean called me out on my Honaker prediction.....rightfully so!!! Congratulations Bulldogs on a great win tonight. I will be pulling for you this coming Friday as well.
  15. Ok thanks. That's what my schedule says too. For some reason I was thinking the WV games started at 7:30.
  16. Didn't Mt. View play a game or two at Princeton last year?
  17. I haven't seen any film on Ike's injury. When you watch the film on Chance's injury it appears the Princeton player offered a few words after the play. I have also heard that he did in fact talk some trash afterwards. Which to me makes the intent appear to be on purpose. "Horse collar" tackles happen every Friday night and thankfully they happen without injury. There is a reason they aren't allowed and Chance is a perfect example as to why. With that said, when a student or group of students make statements on social media like Princeton has that takes this to a whole different level. The Graham transfer portal comment is actually pretty funny. The sign, the comment, and the picture is totally uncalled for.
  18. There's also a Twitter account for Princeton's Pep Club that has a rather classless post on it as well.
  19. I couldn't get the links to open. If it's the pics I have seen on social media, I agree 100% with you on this. There has been stuff going around on social media for a few weeks regarding one of Graham's players and what Princeton is going to do to him. Simply put this is out of control. If my son or daughter posted something like this and/or took part in making signs of this nature, all I can say is whoa be unto their ass when I found out. I hope Graham can stay focused Friday and leave Princeton without any injuries.
