Lol, there is ALOT of things about this game that concerns me. Although Galax not having enough team speed is not one of them.

This game scare me every year, two weeks to prepare really scares me lol. I have watched GW play twice and they certainly pass the eye test. QB is certainly a game changer. And I think it will come down to the passing game as Galax has been tuff against the run so far.

You are correct Sir. The game got moved because Radford field was a mess due to weather. Also replying to Graham curb stomping Radford last year.i I just don't think those results translate all the time to the next year. if we are using that as a basis for this year then we could say that Richlands struggled with a "Meh not so great" Grayson county team last year in playoffs as well 10-0. Not saying Richlands won't beat them, I think that they will. Just pointing out alot happens In a years time. Wish the game was closer, it should be a good game.

I don't have a dog in this fight - although I have been around high school football for almost 30 years. The officials the past three years have been progressively worse. It really is becoming an issue as It is affecting game outcomes. The other night at GW vs Auburn, GW player strips the ball falls on it right in front of the line judge. The back judge who doesn't have a view of it says the fumble was caused by the ground, (although the ball carrier never went to the ground). The officials get confused somehow and discuss between themselves then decides to do a replay of down. Which lead to an Auburn TD a few plays later when it should of been GW ball. How does that even happen?

Although Glenvar is down this year compared to last in talent - The teams Glenvar has lost to are a combined 13-1. Played some good teams.

I think another part of it is, alot kids parents don't have the means to pay for gas to drive across the state then spend hundreds dollars on a hotel then food. Not to mention alot would have to take off work to accomplish it. I agree it nice to visit other stadiums and communities but just not feasible.

It can be extremely hard for a team to get up two weeks in a row in big games. I didn't see the Chilhowie game if it was a extremely hard fought game that will certainly be the case as you can become emotionally drained. If the game wasn't a struggle indicative of the score then different story. When cross town rivalries take place you can throw records out the window.

A stupid question here. What are the transient properties that are to be measured for this poll. Are we ranking the teams as simple as to whom would beat whom in a heads up game? Are we ranking the teams as who is doing the best or the the best in their individual classes. Such as points, defensive performances etc. Thanks in advance.

Haha then you have never been to Glenvar and heard their PA announcer. Although as a player and coach I honestly can't say that I ever heard anything the PA announcer said.

Um. Not true. Galax didn't have it moved. Galax didn't make the call, VHSL did after they visited the field AFTER Galax had spent thousands of dollars on new cleats for the kids to play on a muddy field. From my understanding a complaint came from a parent of the team that played the week before. Galax actually suggested to play at Rural retreat, which is a grass field. Everyone saying that Galax had it moved to turf because they didn't want to play on grass is absurd. They hadn't lost but one game on grass since they started playing on a turf field in 2017. They have a better record on grass than turf the past two years. Lol

I would like to be there Friday. I have always enjoyed the atmosphere at Narrows. The region championship game we played there two years ago, the atmosphere was outstanding. The atmosphere at our place last year during the region championship just wasn't the same.

I don't know if we can say that about Chilhowie yet." On autopilot " They have only really been relavant past the district level the past two years, which was with the same group of kids. Now that's not saying they are not, we will know much more after this year I do think they beat Narrows.
