Still not quite sure about Grayson. The teams they have played have a combined win loss total of 5 wins and 21 loses. With only one school that has more than one win sitting at 2-2.

Radford will get massive amounts of points of having beaten previously unbeaten Christiansburg.

Plain and simple fact is Grayson could of stayed in the MED with zero issues. The only time that travel would been different would of been during playoffs. Which if you look at the geography of 1C and 2C is minimal difference. Grayson county is now the laughing stock of 1A

1A hasn’t been kind to them thus far.

No disrespect It just seems like a really bad year for 1D. And you will have that in the small class of 1A football. They are way down and the teams in 2D are pretty solid this year. One of 1Ds best team Rural retreat got manhandled 40-0 by a Grayson County team that is probably the 4th best in 1C.

The chocolate milk sounds like a joke but coach Dixon and the coach from Lord Botetot swear by its use after a work out. My kid worked out year around from 8th grade to 12th grade in the mornings except for week of the Fourth and Christmas. He cannot stand chocolate milk now. Lol

One of the worst I have seen players treated was when I went and watched PH play Chilhowie at Chilhowie in the regional championship game a few years back. PH players was having to stand in water completely over their ankles on the sidelines because Chilhowie wouldn’t move the game to Emory.

Very possible. The big difference in this game is the play style of the two teams . Radford likes to score quick with big plays, and are very explosive. Where as Galax is very content to grind out 3 to 5 yards at a time and eat clock and wear on you, then they start pulling lineman and do a lot of reach blocking and those 3 to 4 yard gains turn into 10 to 12. If Galax can keep their O off the field they have a chance.

Ok now you got me wondering , what is in a eagles nest for us uneducated heathens.

When they combined Fries and Independance the kids for the most part did great . The adults was upset because the then superintendent of the schools knew the school consolidation was coming and yet let the parents of the Fries students pay for brand new lights at the ball field. The man was despised by the town for the rest of his time. The only big issue with the kids was that they didn’t change the name Blue Devils that Independence had prior. The coaching staff integrated well and Grayson County became a powerhouse in sports for several years after.

I will say this , I understand the train horn is under the bleachers at Giles , although that still has to be loud on those sitting above it

Where is this to played at?

Giles had a great defensive game for Galax and Galax never adjusted and played right into and had to rely on wearing Giles down . Galax uses it speed outside very seldom and when it didn’t got good yardage. Giles won’t be able to play the same defense against GW. So it will be a different task for Giles . But in the other hand GW line is no where near the level of Galaxs and Giles will have a lot of success in the ground game.

Ah man no coverage of the SWVA region C teams this year. Still enjoy the show though.

I will say that TD run by 9 in the far end zone was one of the most impressive I have seen in a long time.
