I was at Ridgeview. They jumped out early. Central comes back and keeps it close through the 2nd quarter. Ridgeview played some tough defense which caused problems for Central. Never really got anything going. I think they cut it to 6 in the 2nd half but Ridgeview never seemed worried. Stuck with the plan. I think Ridgeview had 3 guys in double digits. (Counts,OQuin,and Brown) I was really impressed with the effort on defense. Central may have had an off night I don't know but Ridgeview forced a lot of turnovers. I am no basketball guy but that was my take.

If someone here can find last year's Mtn 7 all conference and some of the last years of the LPD all district teams and prove that the number of kids being honored is significantly lower than it is now then I may agree with you. I would bet most of us have not been in those all district meeting and don't know the story as to why they have 23 kids on 1st team. If any of you all would like to copy the list and highlight the KIDS (and let's remember they are kids) that you feel should not be on the list then go ahead. But to be fair to the kids don't hide behind a screen name make sure to post your name and where you are from too.

This is my feeling as well. I would not call it a participation trophy for everyone cause there are 7 teams in the district. Each coach is trying to get some attention for their players.

I would think that has been the plan for everybody the last 11 weeks. I have been hearing from some parents that the reason the game is moved to Saturday is so they can get an extra day of practice. Word is James Colley has been back on campus helping install the Tiger Air Raid offense. The plan is to pass at least 35 times this week. Colley's only request was to have some of the old Sandlick field brought up and put on the sideline. He wants to be able to draw up the plays in the sand with 5 leaves, 4 bottle caps, a penny, and  a cigarette bud like old times.

This makes more sense.  I knew that they would bring Colley in for the pass attack.  I mean he was an offensive genius.  Good thing they have a Haysi boy as the QB I mean Colley's offense was probably bread into him.

Legion Field, Row 3, 50 yard line.... those coaches know everything, they never called a bad play all season (make that three seasons). Got the most out of their admission fee. I vote for them

No need to delete.  I didn't mean to take anything away from the QB, he has done a great job.  I was trying to make a point, but it came out wrong.  We will be fine.  I think Abingdon will beat Union.

They are from Beckley, WV. The singer is from Tazewell. I’m good friends with those guys and have played in several bands with them over the years. They let us use the song.

I may be the only person that does not know the answer to this question, but I will ask anyway. The song on the podcast, What is the name and who is it by. Maybe someone can answer that without putting it in the podcast though.
