Yep I have worked with a couple from that area this week and they said that Galax has not seen a defense like theirs all year. And would be lucky to score a TD. I told them they might hold Galax to a TD but they seriously think their D was better than Grahams and they whole heartedly said yes. lol I am all for being confident and I haven’t seen either Holston or Graham play in person but I just not buying that one.

I’m just glad somebody got Tester some coffee!! I agree , I have been watching these goofballs from the first season and get a kick out of it every week. Although I am disappointed that they don’t cover the region C schools anymore. But I do enjoy the shows every week.

I am hearing that tickets to all semi final games must be purchased online in advance like last year. Anyone else heard this ?

He absolutely did , I just watched the game on NFHS. And he made the statement ( we will have a remote feed set up for the game in Salem). So not sure how that isn’t saying the same thing. This is also the guy that started throwing shade at Galax last year toward the end of the game!! Don’t believe me go watch the game. You don’t prepare for three backs, you prepare for the plays that are run no matter who runs them. I’m mean hell, Galax has three stud backs as well and a good running quarterback. We played Holston last year and beat them at the start of the season and unless they are light years better than last year I don’t see them running all over Galax as everyone is saying. Could be wrong .

If your going to get Galax this was the year. They are loaded for bear coming up. This was supposed to be their down year, supposed to be the least talented team they have had since 2014. It pisses me off how they just reload and repeat. Plus GW should have everybody back and if us , Giles and PM continue to improve Region 1C should be fun.

Tech is a very diserable job . Great facilities,epic fan support and plays In a weak P5 conference .

The big back for PM is going to get a massive amount of touches and if Galax doesn’t get on him early it will be a tuff out as he will keep the ball out of Galax hands. If Galax hits him hard and hang tackles early he will get wore down . Pm is not going to try and out speed Galax to the edges as that isn’t happening, they will be up the middle all night. So Galax will have to score every time they get the ball because if they don’t sop the big back they won’t see it much like Giles

Let’s just be real here for a minute. Everyone talked about Grundy being. A huge hurdle for Holston and I fell into that trap as well and I am not sure as to why everyone thought that. Grundy was just barely better than 500 team with their only quality win was against Chilhowie who also plays a weak schedule and Ph who had. Allot of people hurt . Holston wins one more easily then gets Galax. Galax is light years better than anyone Holston has played so it will be a tough out for them. Galax is the real deal and probably the best true 1A team in the state . So Holston will have to play a perfect game and Galax have a bad game . then the winner get 50 hung on them by a team that pretend to be 1A

Exactly Grundy who? Be careful what you wish for that’s what was said about Galax last year. I mean who's Holston signature win against ? grundy was not a great team at all. They struggled heavily against a very weak narrows team , was in a battle against Rural retreat who was hammered by GW. And Galax just hung 40 on them twice this season. Why do you think they can hang with Galax? Not being a jerk serious question

That’s is saying a lot right there , even though they are not in the same region. In my opinion just like last year -Holston hasn’t seen a defense like they will until they meet Galax. With that being said Holston struggled with 6 seed Narrows and against Rural retreat that was blown out by the fourth seed GW. although but I am getting ahead of myself . Looking at these two ,they both played PH to about the same result so should be a good game

This game will come down to Galax DBs as GW is not going to run on them in my opinion. To much speed on the outside and two stud linebackers on the inside .

We came out in new sets and a totally different Quarterback running plays we haven’t run all year Friday night. We threw all night last Friday and tried to run this Friday . Totally didn’t help, It made thing worse. Lol they are a tuff out. We might have had 20 yards total offense except for two big pass plays until the jvs got in . We brought 10 guys stacked in the box with a 5 man front and dared them to throw it. instead it took them 2 plays to adjust and they just blew us of the ball. Then decided to throw on us just to show they could.

Covington has had issues a couple times already this year . sad situation and unfortunate didn't find out sooner especially if it was c occasions issues should of let know before Monday

Lol ,Graham knows all about It. the fact GW gets a bye week after ducking teams and getting two weeks to prepare at the 1 seed is shameful at.best

It showed rain Friday and snow flurries Saturday and a low temp of 47 Thursday versus mid 30s Friday and low of 27 Saturday when I looked it up.

Probably smart move. Avoiding the weather and Galax will have have shorter time to prepare and a much tougher opponent in Grayson. GW wins by 5 tds

You guys want to get a kick. watch the Grayson vs Galax game on NFHS and listen to our coach in the booth. Lol he is dropping F bombs, screaming holding every other play etc. I think he was about to cry at one point. Lol but he know when Galax was going to run QB power, unfortunately no one else on our team did.

From what I am being told if Galax wins this Friday at Grayson they will turn around and host us the following Friday at Galax and win the MED outright. A win by Grayson gives a two way tie between Giles and Galax but does it knock Galax out of the top of 1C and let Giles pass them? I DON'T WANT TO PLAY galax twice In a row. Thoughts on this and the outcome of the game itself?

A no contest here could have serious implications for Glenvar. That's a lot of rider points left on the table that Glenvar would receive with a win Ina very tight race with Appo for the 1 seed. And a win by Giles would probably give Appo the 1 seed
