It's now October 15! The official start of the COLLEGE BASKETBALL SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most schools are hosting their "Midnight Madness" tomorrow night (the 16th) but today marks the first day of "official" practice! I cant wait!!!!!!

We differ in our scouting reports on Ben Rife. While he may not be able to blow by people off the dribble or out jump everyone for a rebound, his basketball IQ and passing are some of the best i've ever seen for a freshman. He is on a team where he isnt asked to play PG, but could do so very successfully if need be. Ben will not lead the district in points, but he fills stat sheets with his all around game. He came close to recording triple doubles on many occassions as a freshman.

There are a lot. 2 years ago 7 kids on their JV basketball team were originally from Buchanan Co. But in regards to football only, the Coleman brothers (Grundy) and Hess (Grundy) would be enough to take out and make them crumble...

Jimmy is still in the hospital and has seen just small glimpses of improvement over the past several days. He's is bad shape and really needs the prayers guys. Keep sending them up...

I agree and do not support many of the things that Coach Cal does or stands for BUT, I think his troubles at UMASS were focused on and related to Macus Camby and improper relations with an agent. I dont think Cal was ever officially cited for a violation in that incident. But the NCAA isnt looking very hard if this is all they are able to find on Cal at Memphis. This situation should make UK fans very worried as both Eric Bledsoe and John Wall seem to qualify with no problems.

Not a bad showing for Grundy. Chris Kelly is only a freshman.

This was what was decided in the first place...I think everyone knew the request would be denied mid cycle...The board needs to be patient and let it play out like was originally discussed.

I know a couple guys that play overseas basketball and know several more people who have friends playing overseas....He will have NO PROBLEM getting paid nice over there....If he's got the talent to be top 100 and in the Big East, he's more than equipped to go over there and make ALOT of cash.

No, they have stuck with Lewis....Right move IMO...He, and the organization, seem to be winning some of the issues they were struggling with the past couple of years...Hopefully this draft helps spring board them up a bit...Or course getting Palmer back will be a huge plus as well...

The Saturday game with the White Sox is the Civil Rights game I believe...President Obama has been requested to throw out the first pitch and Bill Cosby, Frank Robinson, Hank Aaron and maybe another will be honored at the Reds HOF by MLB and will also be part of the festivities at GABP.

Michael Mitchell was ranked 73rd overall by Mel Kiper Jr, and 123 overall by Todd McShay...I think they did enough research for all of us.....Easily could have got the same guy late in the 5th round...Nice going raiders...

Well, as far as the Bengals go...I think Andre Smith is a better prospect but his head may hold him back. If the Bengals think he has his head in the right place then I would like to see Smith taken ahead of Monroe...If not, Monroe should be the pick....

I go to Pikeville College and their women's bowling team has won the national championship twice in 4 years. They take that stuff pretty seriously down here...lol

I was going to post that they have the Love and Fazio courses as well.... Our home, luckily, only sustained damage to the exterior and had NO smoke damage somehow....However, 4 of the other 5 homes in our section are burned to the ground, including my our neighbors no more than 10 ft. away.....Fire came stopped where the grass started and the woods ended, which is also about 10-20 ft away from our back porch. Very very lucky to come out of this with our home still intact..Everything all around us is destroyed....

He wont have any trouble making a team overseas...If he has Big East, top 100 talent, then he will make a team and make ALOT of money....

Unfortunatley, my family and I own a home in Barefoot Resort on Club Course Drive where, if you go to myrtlebeachonline.com, is apparently where the majority of the flames are and have been. They arent letting anybody back into the development yet so we shall see!

But, if he chooses, can spend the next 10 years making 6 or 7 figures playing basketball for a living, tax free, over seas....I dont think this is a good decision because if he is good enough to play at Louisville, over seas will be there when he got done....But some people just want the money now and dont want to wait...
