Some people in the TSSAA must have looked at that report as well. A while back they threw around the idea of making classifications made up of rural and city schools. Two classes for rural schools and two classes for city schools. I thought it was an interesting idea, their data showed pretty clearly that schools from high population density areas had more success in athletics, i.e. smaller AAA schools from the city did much better than much bigger schools that were the only school in a rural county.

If the majority of the things that were done at the federal level were done at the state/local level, the money would be used far more effectively IMO.

I remember a couple years ago, a mudslide washed part of the road off the mountain. This happened in May, VDOT worked on the road for about a month and then it was mysteriously left alone until October when a private company came and fixed it in about two weeks...

Also, the regular season still needs to mean something in the post season besides only for seeding. District champions should be guaranteed a spot in the regional tournament no matter how they place in the conference tourney.

Or how about have 8 conferences divided into four regions. 2 conferences per region, top two from each conference goes to regionals and the 4 region champs in the final four.

If I were this guy I'd appeal this. This "judge" is obviously nuts and needs to be removed from office, no matter how low he is on the food chain.

A trip from Honaker to any school in the Hogo is about the same to any of the BDD schools. The Hogo never wanted any of the Russell Co schools in the district though. Honaker tried to rejoin the district a few years back and they said no. They tried to avoid Lebanon like the plague when they left the Southwest District and again when they left the Highlands. As far as Castlewood I don't know if they left on their own or if they were banished to the Cumberland. Russell Co is kind of a funny situation because they are smack in the middle of far SWVA, any of the three schools would fit well into any of the districts in this area.

It was freezing cold last year and we spent forever in that maze. I was pretty disappointed when the farmer's daughter wasn't waiting at the end.

Congrats to Battle! Good to see the series getting interesting now with Battle winning two thrillers in a row over Honaker. This series has been going on for a long time and I hope it keeps going and keeps staying interesting!
