I am thinking the real test will be week 9 against Richlands. I don't know a lot about C-Burg or B-Burg, but seems like they are traditionally pretty good teams as well. Hoping the Falcons pick a win up tonight! Go Falcons!!

No. 1 for Battle had to have had a ton of yards in this one. As I had mentioned in another post, Battle simply outplayed, out coached, out ran Abingdon, and in the end out scored. They were definitely a much better team than Abingdon this year, and is the best Battle team that I have seen ever since I can remember.

I thought that the refs did a good a job on this one. Unless I missed something, I thought they did rather well. There was one call they were unsure of, they talked it over, and got it right in the end. Maybe I missed something somewhere in this game, but nothing stands out that made me thought these guys did a bad game calling this one.

I was at the game, and I can tell you that Battle simply outplayed, out coached, out ran, and in the end out scored Abingdon. Abingdon could not stop their run. The officiating was top notch. Battle took this one hands down by beating the snot out of Abingdon. It is that simple. Great game by Battle. Be safe out there. EW

Obviously it has been a number of years since Battle has won this game. But this year could be the year. I personally hope Abingdon beats them by 49 or more, but the odds have got to be running out at some point of winning this match up every single year. Plus Battle is riding high, rightfully so, because apparently they have been playing good, solid football. I hope we can get by another few years with wins in this match-up, but one has to wonder when will the end of the streak come.... We will all find out in about 24 hours... I totally agree with you UVA. I was at the game. It definitely wasn't anything to be excited about other Abingdon's punter and a win.

What made it horrible? You had Marion, va high, abingdon, lee, gate city, and a few more. Not much differnt than it is now. As I said, I liked the name

they need to bring back the Highlands District. I just like the name better. It doesn't mean anything about who is in it, the name just has a better ring I think
