... of course we realize the coach selection process is rigged, with career insiders at the school board yielding all the power. But OSB, in a moment of sheer brilliance, came up with the idea that is guaranteed to win us that appointment ...

Together we would make Tazewell great again!!!!!!!!
Yes, it's true. ODB and I ... oops, I mean OSB and I ... have joined forces. While meeting for our scheduled duel to the death, 7 pm at the Tazewell football field on November 20th ...he was late btw ...something really strange and wonderful occurred. We put aside our differences in the spirit of community service. Looking back now, it seems as though fate had plans for us all along. As we stood there, back to back, preparing to count off 20 paces; him, making his peace with God, and me, planning my next week's appointments ...something occurred to us as we glanced around the empty bleachers. Together we could make a difference ... and fill those bleachers with fannies . All we need is an appointment to the vacant Tazewell coaching job.
Wouldn't take it unless I get the Athletic Director's job as well. That way I could hire Old School Blue as offensive coordinator and place the Hurley boosters club in charge of scheduling.
Cooke is very fast, and may get faster, but a quick search of his 40 times at Blue-Grey super regional combines reveals he ran a 4.47 in North Carolina in April, and a 4.5 flat at the Washington Redskins training facility in June. I'm assuming both of those were hand timed. He may get even faster over the next year, as he has reduced his 40 times drastically from the 4.77-5.24 range he ran last year at a combine in Charlotte. However, it doesn't appear that he's ran in the low 4.40's range ... yet.
I'm not fond of the chest thumping style of the kids today, but it's not like they're mimicking the '90 Canes, either.
I was speaking only of their games with Richlands.
My friends from Graham speak very highly of the Graham players, so I'm not going to attack their character. But they do show questionable judgement. As I mentioned earlier, I fail to see the benefit of firing up the opposition.
For Parsons: A quote from Greg Mance in today's BDT.
“Any time they touch the ball they are a threat to go to the house so offensively it is probably the most talent I have seen on a Graham team maybe ever and I have been here 20 years as a head coach. They have got so much speed. It reminds me of the old group of (Ahmad) Bradshaw, Paco (Jones), Reid Oakes, H.T. Mathews and that bunch, but I think this group is faster.â€[/size]
Just giving you a hard time, since you gave me such a hard time for saying the same thing.
Can't wait for this game to kick off tonight. Heard Graham may go deep into the play book tonight, hope it works out for them.
Good luck to both teams and hope for an injury free game and whoever the winner is, I hope they go on and represent SWVA well in the semis and finals.
Normally I would dismiss those statements as typical pre-game "Mance" speak ...but since my sole purpose in life is to annoy Old School Blue, I'm going to say that Coach Mance is never wrong; therefore, this is the fastest Graham team ever.

I wouldn't consider it ill advised with only 8 seconds left on the clock.
