He's making it up if he's referring to any colleges larger than D3. There are no kids on our team playing at a D1 FBS/FCS, or Div2 schools. Parcell can play D3/NAIAish.

I'm just curious to know who and where

Heck, he wouldn't know. Doesn't even go to many games just runs his mouth on the Internet. Estes is super fast and is a senior, Wilcoxon is a sophomore and will probably be Giles starting TB next year. Estes should be utilized more now if they keep the backfield alignment the same as the previous WB moved to TB and Estes plays wingback also. Or according to some, we should just stick a bunch of under classman in there to gain experience which would eliminate Estes as well. There's 2 seniors in Giles backfield that are currently being recruited by several colleges but we should apparently bench them for the future of the program....🤦

I've been to a lot more giles games in the last few years than you have...but you have been to more narz games

And please tell me which 2 seniors are being recruited and by who? Not saying your making anything up just curious

You keep referring "holding on to the ball"  but when did one fumble by a player became such a major issue? No fumble is good but the blatant over exaggerating looks silly.

Didn't we fumbled twice early thur? Including first play of game? Uh yeah we did....and I never said one player did i?

not saying don't give the young guys a shot. if they've got obvious superior talent, great. In this case, the sophomore TB, started a couple games, but no real great results. So this week, they start a senior a TB, that hadn't practiced at TB all year, with better results. And to beat that, it was a short week thursday game, so he maybe had 2 days practice to face maybe the 2nd best competition we've faced all year. So, to the guy, (not you), that's been saying this team has no senior leadership, I think he should pay a little respect to a senior that did step up and show some leadership. but instead he just wants to poo-poo on the effort. Can't have that both ways my friends.

    LOL

so your idea is to NOT put your best players on the field. Interesting. My guess is a lot of unemployed coaches already tried that formula.

Our best players still didn't get it done...build for the future...we aren't winning a state title this year...oh do yall think we can?

So are you suggesting they just fold? There's still opportunity to improve our playoff position. One could logically argue that the backfield Giles deployed against Tazewell could have very well led to a win against Galax. Typically, better offensive stats leads to more points the last I checked.....

Yeah if they hold onto the ball...let the young ones Plat to gain experience is all I'm saying

Maybe Giles figured 3 and out every drive isn't necessary a recipe for success? 20 points in 2 games since Ratcliff went out probably doesn't cut the mustard?

Build for the future....isn't gonna learn watching....and same outcome with the seniors in there....but the stats are better lol

Probably, the worst matchup for Giles not so far, but all year including Bluefield. Tazewell puts it in the air (a lot). Tazewell has speed to go with it. This game will be running clock at some point and Tazewell will have a 35 point lead at minimum at some point in the game.

The only thing that could fool me is if our offense just confused Tazewell as they aren't use to seeing it, and we get some first downs and kill the clock which keeps it under a 35 pt lead. I hate to say this and if I'm wrong, I will promptly post saying I was wrong, but.....I think we are going to get completely taken apart.

I agree....our pass defense is pathetic....they throw the ball a bunch....bad for us

They have speed we dont...bad for us

This one will get ugly imo

I went to college to play football not to get a teaching degree that qualifies you to be a coach. Maybe you should with your 1 year of j.v football experience??!?!  You claim to know an awful lot for someone who didn't even play hahahaha 😂

    Haha you crack me up

Giles had a 40 year dynasty. Not likely to turn it around anytime soon unless something major changes. PSA This Giles team beat Narrows in JV and Narrows had a healthy Crigger to complement Pruett. If Crigger wasn't injured and played against Giles, there's little doubt that Narrows wins by 2-3 TDs this year. J.V. doesn't translate into varsity success unfortunately when nobody is giving the kids the resources to be successful

Would you like to be the head coach when Jeff hangs it up?

Couldn't the same thing be said about Giles being over as soon as the first practice starts? One playoff win since 2018 and beat a team that didn't even have a winning record for that. (Eastern Montgomery 5-5 2021) In the same time frame Narrows has 5 playoff wins and have went to the regional finals. P.S. that's 4 more!

    If you say so

Who are narrows 5 playoff wins?

Odd that Narrows seems to be on the up and coming and Giles is in serious decline. Giles JV seems has been pretty good the past few years hopefully that will translate to Varisity the next few years. Well unless half of them quit or transfer to Narrows to play lol

Narrows plays nobody in their district....pioneer is pretty much over once the first day of practice starts
