im not saying they are not going to be competitive this year or in the next few years but it is going to run out and maybe this is just a little taste of the future just throwing that out there

I think if you have a good line mix in more straight ahead running plays and misdirection if you dont run the spread fewer blocks needed to make a successful play not saying that spread teams have bad lines

what if, just maybe graham is a single A team playing a AA schedule and what if they are just outmaned because they are holding onto something that is gone im not saying they are good or bad only that maybe they should not ask to play up and move down to A where they belong where they can year in year compete with other schools their size

I have to say I believe the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life is Giles running the single wing it combines two of the most powerful plays in football the FB trap and the TB power but does seem require a good line (lots of pulling and trapping) I perfer what we do at haysi various I, split backs, and shotgun formations simply get players in a position where they can make plays

If you have ever played at hurley then you know the worst is hurley if you havent then thank your chosen god(gods) that you didnt have to its located right in the middle of nowhere is always muddy and cold does not drain and is full of rocks but is the best homefield advantage I have ever seen I would hate to have played hurley when they had a good team

haysi is solid although a little young and inexperienced but they do have what it takes to beat the greenwave

so the official name of the place where honaker plays football is EMATS Field at Fuller Stadium? I dont think I like that, if the field is going to be named it should be done like where graham/bluefield play after someone important to the school

haysi has pertty good visitor seating the visitor bleachers are nicer than the home (home side is bigger)and they are closer to the concession stand clintwood also has a nice set up

when grundy tazewell and graham drop to A which is going to happen unless of course VA moves to a 5A system(haha) what district will they join, has to be the BDD?

I was over there for an 8th grade game late last season the field was worse than any cow field I have ever seen. does anyone know if anything was done in the off season to improve it? Now I know hurleys field has always been crap but the field was not fit to be played on easily the worst playing surface I hav ever seen.

I think that is the type of grass clintwood has and it is nice even after it turns brown very tough and thick...... but I like good old mud better

im not trying to be an ass but the first day of lifting? The first day is the monday after the last game,a little behind arent we rebels? good to hear hurley having that many kids if 30 make it through 2 a days that would be a good turnout

I was talking about bostic he was fast I thought he was out of position (better RB) just my opnion I hope Hurley and TV can do something this year Hurley has coaching and talent just not the #s now I dont think they can compete with the tigers but they could be a good D1 team just build on last years success the road will be harder for TV some talent low #s and very bad coaching but if the kids will come out and play who knows what could happen

chad barton wr/rb haysi (could play rb if we have trouble filling the position) did the QB from honaker graduate if not he is 2 did the RB from TV graduate if not he is 3

I dont know if its true or not But I hope so we have been playing D2 when we are really a D1 school for the past 10 or so years the same is true for clintwood and honaker if im not mistaken honaker in the past honaker has tried to get moved into the reg C so they could play as a D1

if haysi can find a few running backs we will be good if not we will try to throw too much and it could be bad but we have the bdd unless honaker steps up I would say rye cove in the CD as far as combining the 2 districts do you have any idea how far it is between thomas walker rye cove twin springs and hurley twin valley at least three hours on a bus

I think it is a bad idea the beauty of high school football is a team must earn its way every week no bye weeks not to mention football season already cuts into basketball add an extra week? BAD idea but its all about the$$$$$$
