  1. Hurley's (Porky) Greg Stacey....if he had 4 more inches in height, no one could stop him.....
  2. scammell has his boys doing the Rocky 4 workout......watch out colley this one will go the distance....
  3. Does Charlie's Coon Dog Shampoo come with some flea and tick powder
  4. don't you mean Clintwoodview......
  5. whats that called when someone has two people inside them.....you never know do U?
  6. he's fast but not that fast......he doesn't like to get hit.....
  7. Lance......Marcum was good for Grundy but you don't see the light!!! Scammell, Perkins, or Jason Cophehavor would be my top picks over Marcum.
  8. O Leonard hit the nail on the head with that Tornado pick..... those BEARS are for real....
  9. Coach M... has done a great job at emory. When Wacker left, Emory was loaded with players from the Hoggee Higgie Distrist and what happen from 2002 - 2006 very slim years. When Emory was winning the ODAC Wackers foundation was poured in Richmond. I don't know how Wacker did it, but he brought in some good talent from Northern Virginia. The simple fact is speed. The difference between D1 and D3 is size and speed. Va Tech might have a RB that is 230 and runs a 4.3 forty. D3 will have a running back that is 180 and runs a 4.5 forty. There is not many kids that run leget 4.5 in SWVA. Jennings was a special player for Emory, and I'm sure if they were a Caleb Jennings type player around here Coach M would go after them. If Montgomery had beat Wise, and was 5 -1 right now this thread would not even be on here. His offense is fun to watch and he has adapted his brand of football to the players he has on his roster. Yeah, he should have got out of the gun the other day against Syndney in the red zone but he didn't. You stand on the side lines and you make the decisions, its not as easy as you think. I'm sure Dewey will turn things around at Wise the next few years, and I'm sure he will not do it with just SWVA kids. He will do it with D-1 drop outs and Ju-co transfers, yeah he will bring in SWVA kids to fill the roster but look on the field and see how many start on the 1st team. Bluefield will bring in SWVA kids for the first few years to pay the bills and get the football start. Yes some SWVA kids will help build the program. They have already brought in some good offensive linemen from the area. But if they are going to bring in game changers and game breakers they are not going to come from SWVA. If a player around here is good enough, bigger schools will grab them. So I guess all three schools, Emory, Wise , and bluefield will always recruit other areas for speed.
  10. you must be a Lifestyle fan.....I understand they are free to the public
  11. Hurley will be having a Little Rebel Football Camp tomorrow (7-25-2011). The football camp will be at Hurley High School. Registration will start at 9:00 am and the camp will start at 10 am and end at 2 pm. The camp will be for grades 2nd - 8th. A tee-shirt will be provided for each camper and a cookout will conclude the camp.
  12. they should wear the O' Bonnie Blue this week on their t-shirts....this generation of kids up NOVA would not even know it was a flag of the south...
  13. its funny...we a team wins nobody complains......when a team is not that good, and doesn't have much talent, everyone starts to whine about the coach. I don't know the man, but when you play the schedule that Graham plays with the talent that Graham has, what do you excpect. I am glad I played back in the 90's, and I am glad my coaches yelled at us, helped us deal with pressure. If you can't deal with pressure, what good are you!!! One of these days, a boss is going to yell at an employee....So I guess this generation will just quit their job b/c someone yelled at them......
  14. you boys can talk about the best ever in Grundy....I lived and watched it myself...Friends with many former State Champs.....I would have to say Scott Justus is the best and most dedicated of them all...for the heavy weight, Grundy was blessed with Athletic big men...not many schools have that......and you boys are forgeting the most hard nose meanest slobberknocker of them all.....My 1st Fantansy pick, Stephen Hartford, especially over Griffey (the ol' Kentuckian).
  15. I can't decide if I want to stay home and watch Friday night SMACKDOWN or go to the Twin Valley @ Hurley game. Edge is schedule to wrestle in the main event tongiht defending his World Heavy Weight Championship Belt, however The Panthers are on a 2 game BDD win streak and seems to be peaking at the right time. Hurley is hard to beat in Rebel Land and the crowd wears their emotions on their sleeves and I believe this is Hurley's first home district game..........so it will be packed to the rafters...better leave early so I don't have to sit beside the Coopers Crazys section......
  16. Definition of a transfer -- a student that moves from school district H to school district G (Simple Terms).....If you transfer from Hurley, Feds Creek, or Elkhorn your called a transfer, if you transfer from New York, Sacramento, or Boston your called a transfer.......everybody just keeps making excuses.......but I'm sure Grundy wouldn't turn those out-of-towners away, I bet Grundy would even take the Sheephearders and Hornswoggle right now.
  17. many hurley rebels and boys from KY helped keep the streak alive in the 90's. I just hate hearing excuses why Grundy can't win anymore.
  18. depends on your interests....If you like to the outdoors Grundy is a fine place to live.......If you like to spend money------Bristol is the place to be.....Why whine over the Transfers...Grundy had transfers when they were winning all of those state titles in the 90's. I call it using your resources.
  19. I can remember getting excited as a player because we would be traveling to play in Mitchell Stadium or Erine Hick's Stadium. Our coaches, community, and our dad's would make a big deal about it. The tradition that goes along with those places and the SWD. (And it was a BIG DEAL). But I guess those days are forever gone. I know nothing last forever but its going to be hard to see Grundy in the BDD......For District games travel to Sandlick or Mitchell Stadium? Travel to Garden Creek or Erine Hick's Stadium?
  20. How about those Emory WASPERS (3-0 aganist UVA Wise)......I could not believe the level of play from the UVA cavs. How can a program that offers athletic scolarships drop off so much in two years. Emory is not even a top tier Division III school. Hats off to the coaches and players from Emory and Henry. Emory was better prepared physically and mentally. The coaches from Emory had a great game plan and they managed the game well. #7 (Jennings) lived up to his reputation. He carried the rock 90 percent of the game. Emory's defensive line controled the line of scrimmage the entire game and the defensive backs came up to stuff the run several times.
  21. Yes folks, the Monday night war is back on for all the professional wrestling fans out there. Ten years ago Monday Night Nitro went up against Raw is War. This led to a boom period in wrestling that created stars like the Rock, Stone Cold, Mankind, and the NWO. On Jan. 4th another Wrestling promotion is going to test the waters aganist Vince McMahnon and his juggernaunt company WWE. TNA Impact is going to air a 3 hour live show on Spike T.V. on Jan. 4th at 8 o'clock. Hulk Hogan is headlining the show and many other possible surprises will be announced. Rumor on the internet is that Ric Flair, RVD, Mr. Kennedy, and Jeff Hardy may be on the show. Make sure you tune in on Jan. 4th to checkout TNA's wrestlers. They are 10 times more talented than WWE's. If you think WWE has some attractive women wrestlers make sure you check out TNA's Knockouts.
  22. TNA Impact is planning to air a 3 hour special show to go up against RAW on Jan. 4th. TNA will have Hogan, Flair, Jeff Hardy, RVD, Mr. Kennedy, and many more big names in professional wrestling. Make sure you guys plan to tune in on Spike TV at 8:00 o'clock on Jan. 4th. Brother!!!!
  23. Bobby Wyatt and the pound puppies will sniff their way into Gate City like a Blue Tick Hound on a fresh scented trail. However, those Devils from the “City†won’t be hiding in the trees. Housewright has those sophisticated Scott County boys’ playing some fine defense. Hopefully, Tazewell will be able to pick up their whipped tails and drag them back to the Dog House. Lil’ Leonard Loser - Tazewell Everyone say’s James Colley will drive 500 hundred miles for a win! Well he won’t have to worry about driving this week. Haysi better start the (flood siren) Thursday night to give everyone a chance to leave town. Flood warnings have already been posted on the Russell Fork River. Another Clintwood win will make the boys from Skeetrock happy and Percy will be safe when he tours the Ralph Stanley Museum Saturday morning… Lil’ Leonard’s Loser – Haysi and the Tigerettes The Runnin’ Rebels haven’t missed prayer meeting all week in preparation for the Deacons. Percy and those Kelsea boy’s won’t be bettin’ on the roosters’ this friday night, they will be dancing around the tar far. The Deacon’s will counter with scripture and verse. However, it won’t be enough. Look for the rebels to have a nice dinner on the ground with Gary Blankenship setting at the head of the table. Lil’ Leonard Loser – St. Paul
