Actually never thought about that but you are kind of right.  Could always do like some colleges where the jersey is retired not necessarily the number.  On someone else's point I say reserve it for a senior on the team that has shown the great inspiration and leadership.  Somethings does need to be done to honor it for sure.

I think it would be a fitting honor for him and the family if #11 was retired.

Targeting, as called in the college game, is not a high school penalty.

I want to know how the defense can target a player but the offense gets called for unsportsman???
Worst officiating I have seen anywhere in a long time...thats all I'm going to say about down here at Abingdon.

Haha.... love it! If you think this bothers me than keep it coming! One ? for you guys, since you guys where in the Roanoke area, did you guys get new cleats?

With the score being 56-0, if we did I hope the coaches got their money back. 

Lots of folks seem to be piling on Richlands over this loss...I guess because they rarely get the chance.  But, the bottom line is this: When you field a program of that caliber, fans of other teams take joy in any setback that happens to ya whether it's in the field or off.  Same thing happened during PV's glory days.  You get everybody's best shot every Friday and when a team does beat ya, they act like they've won the State Title...and then you get to listen to it from fans of every team but yours tell ya about it all week.  Fact is tho, there are VERY VERY few teams in SWVA capable of beating Richlands..so have your fun while ya can guys, cuz it'll prolly be a while before the chance comes around again.

When was the last time anyone on here actually had anything to do with the outcome of the game? Some of you never have. All that is left is talk. Most people are just sick of hearing about the mighty blues, so they take advantage of any opportunity to talk a little trash. You richlands guys should take it as a compliment instead of taking it personal. Us tazewell folks especially have taken it for a long time LOL! Just wait until the dogs actually beat the blues again, you think its bad now? I for one knew what was gonna happen at LB. I have family playing there and 2 good friends coaching up there.
