#7 for Fort Chiswell is a bad dude

Tayton has around 700 yards passing with two regular season games left on the schedule. I'm not sure how many rushing yards he has. Tayton does a good job making something out of nothing when the receivers are covered. Not much passing when you have one back over 1500 yards and two more ready to get a 1000 barring any injuries. Devan is at 830ish and Zack is around 810.

Dutch Meyer ran a 5 wide single wing(well 2 wings and 3 WRs) at TCU in the 50s.
 
One of Pop Warners base single wing plays was a TB Sweep where a TE ran a Fly route and the TB could pass or run based on if the receiver was covered or not (RPO 80 years ago).
 
What Meyer and Malzahan were/are doing is an evolutionon of the Wing-T, which is an evolution of the Single Wing... around and around we go.

The total for Hurley is off just a little due to Grundy not receiving credit for defeating Riverview WV. It should be 180. I'm not sure what the hold up is with the VHSL. Hurley has the possibility of having 30 point weeks back to back that would give them the max of 242. It could very well be in the 236 to 238 range if things dont go as planned. It should be interesting the next two weeks. Good luck to everyone!

Wing-t principles....block down.....kick out....touchdown! Glen McNew has came in the last three Summers to teach the Hurley kids from 7th grade up how to run the wing-t. Some of you WV guys may know him from being head coach of Morgantown High and he also had a brief stint at Richlands in the 60's.

I miss Falcon Man and Southbound.

My personal favorite so far....

Can you imagine a 12pm/7pm game day at Richlands if both Hurley/Richlands make it to the state semi finals? Ernie Hicks would be packed!

Two, the whining and butthurt is strong with you people. Not everything is a personal affront. A bunch of the hayseeds that have come out of the woodwork this year have entirely demolished a decade plus of goodwill Hurley had previously built.

​There not going to get them all right the onside kick we had an opportunity to get on it but the kid saw it touch the Honaker player he let up. You play to the whistle regardless. Don't help having a rabid fan screaming at a Ref from the opening kick off until the end either the guy was down right annoying. I've seen better officiating and I've seen worse you take what you get and go on. Congrats to my Rebels they had to play last night which should help them down the road...Honaker played 4 qtrs. you Honaker folks should be proud of them.

Mance ripped off James Colley (Haysi). Colley masterminded that offense 25 years ago, Hell one could argue most of D1 NCAA must've gotten a hold of a few Colley game films. I said it here people, the modern spread was invented in Haysi, Virginia 25 years ago.

I'm not so sure Hurley will run up the score on Honaker. They let up on Grundy at 56 early in the 3rd and that was it. Greg Tester is too much of a class act of a coach to do that. Actually that's what makes him a great coach.

Honaker ain't going to come to The Cliff and just lay down. The Tigers have history on their side, they have good coaches and they have something to play for....a playoff spot. The Jimmy's and Joe's ain't there like years past but they are still decent. It should be a good game

Amen!!!  God is ALWAYS good. We sometimes forget that but without God we are nothing. 

I'm not a very religious person but that's messed up. Let the coaches and kids have there tradition. Good on the young men of Hurley for continuing it.

Sick of one or two people being able to control the majority, if they dont want to hear a prayer to keep these players safe and honer God they can stick their heads back up their butts until its over. What a crying shame we keep letting a few push the world around. Fight back Hurley. My wife and I first time ever being at your field from Cwood loved everything about what your little neck of the woods represented , awesome team support, the prayer the people such a great atmosphere, if I find out it was a Castlewood parent ill probably let them have it.
