  1. Any team is beatable every year.
  2. My prayers go out to this young player and his family. May God allow you to make it through this tragic time in your life.
  3. Have a winning season, end up in the state championship game a few years, have a few players picked for college, and it will happen automatically.
  4. My point is exactly what Lance said, "all schools do it" but some make it seem like a crime against nature if the Blues do it. I have to retract my statement about being to early to talk about it, and say that Parsons is right, I remember talking about the Blues around our Christmas dinner table, and in fact the very conversation was about transfers. I think it does get a much to much when we see it every year, and the hometown players who work so hard to be on the team have to see some of the fans more interested in transfers than just building a good team with the hometowners. Could cause a lot of talented players to think they have no chance to play because a transfer gets the position, and I do think that Coach Mance has worked well in that situation, but too many tranfers can upset the apple cart. The Blues will be alright due to the program that has been built over the past 10 or so years, and the talent just keeps coming with a great feeder program. Eventhough I may seem a bit sarcastic towards some on here, i do really enjoy reading everyone's post, so yes, please keep it coming.
  5. Way to early to talk about all this but it is good to know that all of you are still interested about the Blues. Right now I am more concerned about my U. K. Wildcats, but as all Blues fans I would like to add my two cents. Wtih all the restructuring that is taking place 2013 will be interesting. Union, Gate City, VA High Graham and Tazewell will be tough games. To early to say what the outcome will be, but naturally I will say that the Blues win. The Beaver team will be loaded, but not unbeatable. I look for that to be the best team the Blues will play. As for transfers, I don't care for it, but see nothing against it, all players and parents make those choices, no one is forced to transfer. Now as to what I have heard is 1 from Florida, 1 from Oklahoma, 1 from G-man territory, and 1 from Princeton along with 2 from riverview, and oh yeah there is this Lewis guy retiring from Baltimore who wants to go back and finish his high school at R.H.S. and if records are right he still has 2 years elgibility for high school football. All that sounds about right, except fo the fact that superman, spiderman, and the hulk are also transfering to good ol' R.H.S. I know you guys like to get on here and put the Blues down for all the transfers, but come on get a grip its just a game.
  6. This is the State Championship and both teams will come to play. I think this game will come down to conditioning in the last quarter. Honaker has proved to me that they are well conditioned, and GW is likewise, but which one of these two is the best conditioned? Come Saturday, we will find out. What I like about both of these teams is that they never quit playing. Honaker could have turned in the key at the end of the first half and said we have had a good year, but they came out fighting for every inch, and in the end I think conditioning proved to be on Honaker's side. GW is good but I have to go with Honaker in this one Honaker 31--GW 24
  7. Honaker wins this one in good fashion. Home field advantage is a big plus, and if you go to the game try the concessions, best around hands down. My wife graduated Honaker and she really rips me about the Tigers still playing and the Blues are watching, but this week I'll take all of it in stride and be a Tiger fan along side of her. Honaker is just to strong for Burton and will wear them down in the late third quarter. Go Tigers!! on behalf of my better half.;)
  8. As a true blue fan I must say that Mance is still a heck of a coach. True, CS won the game, and deserved to win, and there may have been some question as to the way the Blues played, especially wasting three time outs within the first five minutes, but we all have to remember that these players are teen-agers not professionals. We all knew that CS would be a good team with the games they played this year, and the toughness of their opponets, so I don't think it is fair for anyone to call for the coaches head on a platter. Defeat is and always will be a hard pill to swallow, and we all have been spoiled by the success of the Blues, but I for one look forward to next year with great excitement. Hats off to all who play and coach this team, and thank God for this wonderful "GAME" we call football. Defeat will not kill you it should make you stronger. CS was the better team on friday night and the outcome proved it. So here is wishing them well and good luck in the next game. The Blues will bounce back next year and be a better team for it. Thank all of you for being so active on this board, it really helps this old Blues fan to read all of your post, even if I don't agree with all of them. This year has been fun and next year will be even better. God Bless all of you, and I hope you all have a Blessed OFF SEASON.
  9. Best of luck to all area teams who play this week end. Play safe, play hard, and leave it all on the field. These are the best times of your life, Live Strong!!!!!
  10. I pulled for Taz. last week, but will be with the Canes this week and I think they can win this game. All SWD regional final would be nice to watch knowing this is the last year of the SWD. Go Canes.
  11. You can't compare what CS did in the PC game with what the Blues did in the PC game. Two different games completely, and what about AJ and Baker being out? I know it can make a difference, but that's why they play the game. You play with the hand you are dealt. I think the Blues will win this one if they play it smart, and I know for sure no one is taking CS lightly. I look for a ball control type game and the Blues win.
  12. Good luck to both teams, but I would like to see the Bulldogs get the win. All who cross the mountain have a safe trip. No offence to Marion but tonight I am a Blue fan rooting for the Bulldogs.:D
  13. Good luck tonight Falcons. Would love to see a re-match at the Ernie next week. Have a safe trip, hope to see all of you next week in Blue territory.
  14. Haven't had time to respond but here goes. I would like to see a really close game, but doubt that it will happen. I work with a lot of Bulldog fans and the trash talk has hit the high side the last couple of days. Bulldog fans, I hope beyond hope that it will be a good knock down drag out fight, but i think the Blues will bring all of you back to reality, and I see it Blues 48 Bulldogs 13.
  15. Would love to see the Bulldogs win this one.
