Graham makes the MED a really good district

Sorry if it came across that i didn't think Graham would make the MED a better district because that would be stupity on me. The addition of Graham makes MED a top notch district. Outside of Narrows and Bland alot of really good teams. And i bleed Green & Gold. but the facts are what they are.

Graham has a history of great teams and will again but i really don't think it makes that much difference to Narrows or Bland weather they playing Graham, Galax or Grayson Co. or anyone else in the MED they will be out manned. Graham moving to the MED really made the MED no better or worse for these 2 teams.

agree with all except the one that i'm crazy (well not this time). i said we would have been better off without Grant for this game. He was no where close to game ready so what i meant was #28 is better than Heth at 50%.

Radford hasn't run the I since Norm left.

We need Grant back to 100%. He played Friday at about 60%. Really think we would have been better off with out him. Have to agree with chokiebird Finley running & passing as he did at Giles we have chance. But Glenvar as everyone knows is so good across the front line.

Grant will be ready for the Glenvar game. Probably will play tonight aganist Auburn.

Would like to see 1A if you could. I know your concern is in 2A but you tease us smaller schools with your wisdom.

Parcell got moved to Def. End last year which was a huge mistake. Moved him back to LB where he always belonged. But after a small bit of research Parcell didn't play aganist Giles last year, out with a concussion.

Agree completely, Floyd is awful and EMont is Emont. Was saying we are lucky to be playing you after these past 2 weeks. Killer stretch. And yes Giles could have won Saturday. Couldn't belive they (Glenvar) went for 2, and then couldn't belive Giles couldn't get a first down to run the clock out. With that being said i'd liked to have played you at full strength but losing our 2 best defenseive players will probably be a killer for us.

Grant and their leading tackler (#56) will be out for the Giles game. Parcell is in a cast after breaking hand in Floyd game. So that means both linebackers will be on the sidelines wearing jersey without pads, As far as being pissed if Giles wasn't aganist Glenvar then they will never be after getting slapped around like 3 yr olds in the playoffs last year.

Agree completely about Harris & Spurlin. # 63 is without a doubt the best run blocker i've seen in high school football, the kid is a monster. with that being said in the 4th qt at Radford he had his hands on his knees sucking air. just saying if your lineman could get a small rest every now & then Galax's run game might be unstoppable.

11 on 11 Galax is as good or better than any team around. But as of now they wear down in 2nd half. Seen them twice this year and they got beat in half #2 at Giles and never scored in 4th Qt or OT aganist Radford. if they can give them stud linemen a rest every now & then, be a really hard team to beat.

Could be that he would have been a really good high school QB if not for that offense he was made to run. My guess is he wouldn't want that to happen to any of his players. Giles has had some great tailbacks but tell me one that played at the next level?????? Hard to teach a 18 yr old kid how to receive a handoff. Colleges don't have time to teach something a kid should know how to do in pee wee ball. My hats off to Coach Mance for giving his players the chance to move on.

Grant from Radford is a scoring machine. he's leading the timesland in scoring with a lot less carries than most everyone else on the list. good speed and power as well.

Unless something has changed you can"t stop just one back in that offense. Overload the defense's left side the fullback will bust the middle or they will hit you with that reverse or sissors whatever you want to call it these days. I rememeber one year we stopped the tailback completely and then Greg Mance had like 200 yds on 4 reverses for 4 TDs. Guess what happens then? You got it, the sweeps start working cause ya can't overload one side. They can be stopped, but you must stop it all.

Sure didn't impress James River with our speed.

I really didn't see all that much speed at the 1st game of the year. Just saying.

Marcus Finley, Heath Grant and Nick Ridpath from Radford are getting some attrntion from some FCS schools.

Any chance you saw anything for 1A?

Got one in Radford from down under that stands 6'6. My kid said he's a player, of course we'll have to wait and see but it seems the rich just keeps getting richer.
