  1. Galax would be the top "lower" seed. I'm kind of amazed they are sitting at 2-4 on the year
  2. Just a good all around football game from both teams. I hope Tazewell can take some pride in the way they played even with the loss. Bad calls will happen, for both teams, you hate to see it but.... Fact is, turnovers will kill you ever time and there was some costly ones for the Bulldogs. Time for a week off and get ready for the Golden Wave and try to finish out the season strong.
  3. I hate that for him, he is a good kid. Nick has been doing a great job though and I really hope they play with the same spark they have had for the past couple of weeks.
  4. He is a red-shirt 6th year senior with one more year of eligibility. :)
  5. Jacob McReynolds will be back tonight and that will give Tazewell another spark. I can only hope they can keep it close and play to win and not to lose.
  6. I don't know why but something tells me Graham wins in a close one.
  7. One thing for sure, Graham is in shape. I just don't know if they can break around the corner on Richlands like they did against Tazewell. Runs up the middle wasn't that impressive from Graham.
  8. Richlands by at least 28. If Tazewell had an ounce of depth, the Graham game would have been closer. Graham just wore them down with their physical nature and was in much better shape.
  9. I agree 100% with that. Graham made a great adjustment and put the pressure on. Tazewell kept trying to run the same ole plays. Good luck to you guys this week.
  10. They aren't very good at stats or articles most of the time. Heck, in last weeks article they had Tazewell playing Virginia Tech instead in Va High. :)
  11. For what it's worth the Bluefield Daily has the series record at 39-23-1 in favor of Graham.
  12. I'm with Stu_bean on this one. Tazewell looked a lot better than the score at Va High showed.
  13. Coming from Tazewell, I'm not looking forward to traveling down to play them. Speed, speed, speed
  14. One thing I can say about Abingdon, their band can out perform any of the other schools they face!
  15. They should call Tazewell and take some tips on having a new coach every year. :) Thank the good Lord for Coach Allen.
  16. congratulations to them! now go win state!
  17. http://bdtonline.com/localsports/x983029791/Five-individual-champs-lead-Grundy-to-Bates-crown Also to Graham and Tazewell for a good showing.
  18. So proud of the Dogs! They are beginning to believe! For what it's worth, Abingdon has a great band
  19. We just need to keep our coach for 3 years or more and let the kids learn the system. I would take 2 losing seasons if the results are positive after. It's easy to field a team but it takes time to build a program!
  20. I don't think it has been that way since 1955! The team is down for sure right now but 4 different coaches, 4 different offenses and defenses and lack of participation from the students will cause these things. If coach Allen can hang in there, it will change. Richlands should be praised for the way they have kept the coaching staff in place and have brought a belief that they can win each and every week. Love em or hate em, they have a great program down there right now. People forget that Richlands had some rough years before Mance got things rolling. Be a true fan, hang in there and support the kids and things will come around.
  21. I was proud that they didn't give up. If Cody and those receivers can get the timing right, they can do some passing.
  22. If I had to pick within the last 10 years, it would be Matt Muncy at Tazewell. Game changer for sure.
