In 1A east I think Essex & Riverheads are top 2, in the West GW, Galax and Hurley are top 3. Lot of other teams could move up including PH.
-
Hurley had Central down 24-0 after 1st qt. Starters never played 2nd qt. Strange ain't it.
-
Anyone got details of Central, VA High scrimmage?
-
Hurley lost both games, starters played 1st quarter and led 24-0, but the 2nd and 3rd string could not hold lead. Final 28-24 Against VA High game was close for a quarter and half with final score 30-6
-
Article says Hurley played River View in second scrimmage, I thought they played Narrows.
-
I only watched about half of Hurley and Narrows. Hurley was leading 5 td's to 0 Hurley's 1st team offense and defense had their pads off after 10 plays each.
-
With that logic, Marion still would not win anything.
-
I think Hurley B plays Montcalm at 9:30
-
I have to disagree with you, Union beat Richlands last year and Richlands should have won the title.
-
I must say I forgot about Gate City, they would definitely be in top 10

The stat's and score don't equal out, looks like 82-55

Dixon should have been Coach of the Year. Some teams got snubbed and some I think the Water Boy made honorable mention.
-
First thing, Hurley had 11 penalties and Parry McClure had 2, and just where were you sitting at to see all those penalties?? Most of those penalties we called on the opposite side of the field from the bleachers. Second thing is, I was not even referring to that game Good luck to all the teams still playing, especially Hurley, JIB, Richlands and Honaker.

I think it is rare when one team has over 10 penalty
s and the other has 0. That is rare even in the NFL.
-
That really makes no sense at all. Just say we take 2 evenly matched teams and the Ref's are one sided, for example Hurley, Honaker you probably get a blow out.
-
I wasn't in the Pressbox, but I heard plenty about the Ref's.
-
Don't really know what to expect with Galax, but the Parry McClure, Hurley score tells nothing about the game. Hurley completely dominated on both sides of the ball. Bad coverage on 2 kickoff's gave them 2 scores and the only scoring drive McClure had was about 75 yrd's with about 35 of those yrd's coming from flags thrown from what some may call Ref's.
