Obviously one hopes that he hasn't done anything to get himself suspended, especially given how close he is to breaking the career rushing record and given his potential to play on Saturdays. But Hokiebird7 is right, without him, Byrd will lose their last 3 (Staunton River, Lord Botetourt, and Northside) and will likely get bumped in the 1st round. Absolute definition of a one-man team

Update: Byrd fans on VA Preps claim he walked out of practice Monday after a dispute with a coach

Maybe I'm a softie, but given what is at stake for him personally and for his teammates, I hope they exercise some mercy and give him another chance -- if the situation calls for it

It says in the comments that nothing happened and everything is fine, according to the family member that posted it.

Some folks from Staunton River are claiming "fake news" in the comments section as well as on Twitter.  William Byrd head coach Jeff Highfill is also known for some creative "gamesmanship".

That is the problem with today's society.  If this is true, the young man made a decision and needs to held accountable for it.  Regardless of the effect.  It seems adversity is an unwanted teacher today.  Very Sad.
