DB-6130 25 Report Share Posted October 13, 2022 I have been catching up on podcast and heard this on the Marty Smith Podcast and thought it would be good for this board You pick the following but the rule is you can only pick 1 thing from a team. So if I pick Ridgeview's Offense I can not pick Ridgeview for any other topic. They did the Sullivan North game there because they had 6 home games that year. I think any other reasons would be political. That's how you adjust to an opponents weaknesses while still trying to play to your strengths. With that written, it's much easier when you are a run first team and adjust your running style (blocking schemes, formations) than it is if you are a pass first team and you are trying to adjust and account for injuries. It's another example where come playoff time, run first teams have more cushion/resilience for injuries and adjusting for them compaed to pass first teams at lower classifications of High School Football. Hats off to Grahams staff. Whether it worked or didn't work, they gave their kids offensively, the best chance of winning last night, and for them, it did work.
