With some suspect play calling and O'Quinn having some of that Brett Farve recklessness in him at times, I just wonder when that catches up with them. Bluefield is going be a good test for them. Going to be interesting over the last two weeks in 1D play. Right on the money how close its going to end up. Grundy seems to be the best team in 1D, Hurley can get a truck load of points with win over Montcalm. PH,Honaker, and J.I.B. should win out. Could Rye Cove miss playoffs with two losses? S10SQUAREBODY4LIFE 239 Report Share Posted October 23, 2022 1D makes it so difficult to predict. Given the tougher schedule I'd say JIB is likely to have been battle tested enough to win vs R.C. After R.C. has been down for a few years it would be great to see them at least make the playoffs. Looking back, if R.C. had defeated Lee (28pts vs 11pts) they would be sitting there just over 20PPR and that's crazy to think about. I believe that a couple of good teams aren't going to make it but after the past couple of years I wouldn't have imagined Lebanon being a force this soon and Honaker pulling the upset over P.H. Grundy is hot right now, gonna be tough on whoever ends up going to Buchanan County for those games. T.S. gonna get in if they win 1 for sure, most likely vs TW. Hurley wins, they're in. Hurley beating Montcalm would be a big part of that. RC needs to win one of the last two to clinch a spot. Can you verify this is accurate? It is possible. That's 4 guaranteed points that are now lost for Graham. Obviously, if Ridgeview were to lose to Bluefield or GC, then problem solved for the GMen. However, if both finish 10-0, M7 and SWD results will be a wash. I have them tied at 276 each, but that depends on the following: Burton over Rye Cove and Thomas Walker, Pulaski and Richlands losing their remaining games, Galax and GW winning their remaining games. One thing that could come into play would be Richlands/Va High. Richlands winning or losing to Crockett won't affect anything. Lebanon, Burton and Thomas Walker will decide. Union needs Burton to defeat Rye Cove and Thomas Walker to defeat Twin Spring to get 3rd, regardless of what Lebanon does against Rural Retreat. If Lebanon loses, they only need Burton or TW to win their respective games. GC needs Lebanon to win along with a lose by Burton to TW in the above mentioned games, or a Lebanon loss along with Burton and TW to get 3rd. Va High needs Lebanon to win along with a lose by Burton to TW in the above mentioned games, or a Lebanon loss along with Burton and TW to get 4th. I don't see a viable path to 3rd for Va High.
