  4. I will say this as a Christian and unfortunately, 95 plus percent of Christians don't understand one concept because they've been fooled. When Israel causes trouble BECAUSE of its racism/seeing others as inferior due to its Bloodline, Israel plays the religious/we are the chosen people card and the conservatives buy it every time. I perdonally believe the Jews are God's chosen people from the Old Testament. But here is the concept that needs understood. Because you are God's chosen people doesn't mean you are flawless and that every action you take is permitted by God. This is the concept modern day Christians just don't understand about Israel. They think that if Israel takes an action, then it has to be OK because they are God's chosen people so we must be on Israel's side. We'll, that is insanity and illogical reasoning. Like all other humans, Israel/the Jewish people have Free Will given by God. We all know the history of human beings and free will and the choices we make (see Adam and Eve) in Chapter 1. If you study the Old Testament, you quickly see that the Jews (and Gentiles) have been rebelling against God since creation and the Jews are in a cycle now where they are seriously rebelling, even in the form of no longer believing in God. It's amazing how many Jews on the this earth are actually devout atheists. How can you be an atheist and be religious? Jews identify mostly by bloodline, NOT religion. They quickly identify by religion when they need help from the west. P.S. we now live in a world that would quickly label ME as an antisemite simply because I called out Israel for what it currently is.......racist. In today's world, when u call out the racist if you are a white Christian, then quickly....somehow....someway..youbecome/get labeled the racist.
  5. Israel is a corrupt piece of shi$. It's a country where it identifies by it's religion to the west as a front and the conservative right wing Republicans eat it up. In truth, Israel identifies as a country by its Blood Line and only that. It's a country where some estimates put the number of atheists in the population as high as 30 percent. They are committing genocide against the Palestinians and they get away with it because of the lobby and power they hold in western governments. They see the Palestinians as an inferior race. Say what you want, there is ZERO argument as to why the Palestinians shouldn't have their own country.....Zero. Don't give me the excuse of they will build an Army and attack Israel. They attacked Israel in Oct because they've literally been enslaved and have basically been in a concentration camp for over 1/2 of a century. Jordan, Egypt, Saudi, they aren't at war with Egypt and have their own country and there has been peace for over 50 years. If Palestine had it's own country, the Oct attack would not have happened. The UN voted decades ago for Palestine to have it's own country and guess who has basically defied international law all these years preventing it? You guessed it. Washington DC and London, the two most evil cities on earth outside of Tel Aviv, Pyang Yang, and Mogadishu.

  7. I am not sure if they set a hard number this cycle for class 1. The breakdown is unusual when compared to years past, as far as numbers of teams. Too many appeals granted I suppose. One would think that class 1 would always be the classification with the smallest number of total schools, but that's not the case. 317 schools Class 1 - 54 Class 2 - 49 Class 3 - 56 Class 4 - 51 Class 5 - 48 Class 6 - 59
  8. Are schools still allowed to move down at mid cycle or every two years? If so does anyone know if any schools dropped under the 350 mark for 1A or petitioned to come down to 1A starting Fall 2025. I think Lebanon and possibly Riverheads were close to that number during the last reallignment.
  9. The writer seems to assume that the VHSL is actually a regulatory entity with some sense of purpose and/or constitution. Unfortunately there is very little evidence of either. Alignment decisions are left up to the individual districts, VHSL administrative meetings are effectively good old boys events where AD's and principals --along with the General Assembly members who are supposed to provide oversight -- protect their own interests from the relative comfort of the "hospitality rooms," all while the VHSL leadership claims that its 15 person staff is essentially powerless to do much of anything . Hopefully Kerrigan will devote himself to more scrutiny of the organization that is supposed to be in charge -- and maybe even show up at the "annual meetings" to expose some of the nonsense and affect some needed change.
  10. My son's high school career draws to a close with a 3-2 loss on the road to Nelson County. Frankly the sense among Liberty (Bedford) fans is that we let this one get away from us. No clue how Nelson beat Amherst this year, but their record otherwise was obviously built against really poor competition. Very soft and undisciplined. Radford should beat them handily. And after experiencing the facilities there, I think I'm absolutely okay with playing up in the Seminole District for the foreseeable future. Back on the intensely personal side, it's on to Concord for my son. That turned out to be the very best combination of all factors in his recruiting process and we're all excited about what the future holds. One of his LHS teammates will be going to Richlands in the fall to play soccer for Southwest Virginia Community College. Our family would love to see our brilliant junior goalkeeper wind up in Athens (and my son will likely help to recruit him hard) but he'll likely have a lot of other great options. My youngest son has two more years of high school left and will move up to varsity next year. So the fubtol part of life will go on for us.
  11. Let’s just do a relegation system like European soccer does. 4 years rolling period the top 4 teams as far as post season success move up a division and the worst 4 teams move down a division. This would have to include all sports post season success but it could work. That easily moves John Marshall and LCA up and keeps Riverheads from having a decade long straggle hold on class 1. You would have to do every 4 years to keep a two year miracle run of athletes from bumping up a small school to play with the big boys
  12. M7 takes 3 out of 4 quarterfinal games. Battle, Central, Lee, and Marion in the semifinals.
  13. Central defeats Virginia High 5-3 in 8 innings. M7 takes 3 of the 4 quarterfinal games. Lebanon, Battle, Central, and Gate City in the semifinals.
  14. Lee County and Giles County. Two of the common misnomers for both are that they are named County. The perfect setup is 2 schools in 1 county with 1 schools name for the county (Giles and Lee) and then both have smaller schools within the county (Thomas Walker and Narrows). It was similar with Bland on occasion back in the day. The old Bland High was occasionally referred to as Bland County when it was only Bland High and the county had the smaller school, Rocky Gap. I'm serious, I don't know of any school in VA or NC that has the name of County while also having another public school within that same county. As long as Council stays open, the name Buchanan County is going to be very difficult to get. What could happen? The name will be Buchanan High without the "County' and whenever Council finally submits and closes, Buchanan High will become Buchanan County High.
  15. Lee High is just Lee High, not Lee County High
  16. I knew it was pretty much over after the HR. Richlands had only 1 or 2 hits hit by then. Everything else off the end of the bat as they couldn't stay back on Bledsoe. And they weren't showing after 2 or 3 times through that they could adjust to the slower speed and rhythm. Just went cold at the wrong time. Had a bad feeling in the 4th or 5th when Lee starting timing up Rife. Lee had a great game. Just gotta tip my hat to them and move on. Cuz this one stings
  17. John Battle with a very impressive win over Marion today. Top to bottom impressive hitting on display.
  18. A lot of the proposed solutions would help, but unfortunately they’ll never happen.
  19. He lost me at the remark that if there was cheating it would be punished.
  20. We can't field and can't hit-simply put. The Bears average 4 errors a game:( I'd love to see them clean things up and commit to working on hitting.
  21. Thoughts on these proposals and or the situation itself? https://cardinalnews.org/2024/05/24/leveling-the-playing-field-for-vhsl-competitions/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR044mAkfm11QqiADVjvys2IujI_coSNbdl-ZYVv9QrLBOeLNh9CY3khXmA_aem_AYR4cq9KTMbyViYcO_x4mIJbo9YS9psOTBnUg0-XTyy7HyVx_eXB_9FoTKmxgK6j-bknKOS-r1m6FiHAusReXTi4
  22. Great game between Central and Lebanon. Centrals win 1-0 in 8. Thought after the double to get things started Lebanon would create force out opportunities by intentionally walking Carter and then Dingus when a base was open.
  23. The lady that calculated all of that for the state retired this year so they left playoff format to each region. Region D either had to hire someone to do power points for the region or just use the same format that is used for every other sport. Since it works out with the 2 districts with 6 class 2 teams each that’s what they are going with. Now I have no clue how they are going to do 1D but with the consolidation of Buchanan county I can see them just doing hogo and making another district
  24. I could be wrong but I think it was the Top 8 went, according to power points, regardless of district. Now, they are taking the top four from each region, which I like a lot better.
  25. Rife pitched the first 5 and 2/3. Then Fuller came in for the last inning and 1/3. Lee tagged Rife for 5 runs and Fuller gave up the last 2.
