The Mayor has taken over! It's the former home of the Radford Bobcats. It and the old high school were located near downtown. -

-This stadium served this successful Va school through 1965, who then played their 1966 home games at neighboring schools. The new venue opened in 1967 and is still home today. -If you couldn't make the game, you could always tune into the station on the press box. It's hard to make out, but it looks like WRA_ Go Rufus! But how's the VHSL going to benefit without Benefit Games?
-
Anyone got any updates?
-
I mean the benefit game doesn’t matter at the end of the day and if you where a team that had a solid chance at making the playoffs why not play week 0 instead and have a bye mid season then one at the end right before the playoffs? Regardless of who’s fault it was I feel like that’s path that some coaches would preferred other than a bye week 4 then 6 straight games before playoffs start

Anyone who saw Lebanon play last season knows the kid is legitimate, he was just overshadowed in his Freshmen season by Reece and their passing game(older players). Id say by October everyone in the region will be talking about him, the kid has all of the physical tools, support system, and work ethic to be special.

SWVA Sports Trivia: Whose Stadium is Pictured Here?

The Mayor's a force in local stadium trivia! It's Tenneva Field, home of the Virginia High Bearcats from 1920-36. Both Va High and Tenn High moved to the Stone Castle that last year. The Bearcats returned to the Virginia side of the line in 1974 to its current home. Fun fact: Tenneva Field hosted the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers in a 1922 exhibition game. 5,000 people turned out to watch Babe Ruth play baseball in Bristol. -

SWVA Sports Trivia: Whose Stadium is Pictured Here?

-This lexical blend named field hosted two high schools, with the last HS game in 1936. After closing both teams moved to a new stadium, which was just a stone's throw away. A factory now occupies the site, which is shown with the arrow on the right. The left arrow shows the school's current home field since 1974. -
To keep from playing 2 games inside the same week most likely.
-
So any chance some site (or individual) will be a go to place for those weekly points??
-
Why should Richlands give up their benefit game because of Virginia High's incompetence?
-
I saw VA High had Richlands scheduled on the 21st instead of the benefit game. So is that going to be a week zero game like Rye Cove is playing? If so do we see other teams doing going to this and getting 2 byes during the regular season? Not a terrible idea honestly

Jesse is legit. Obviously the offers speak for themselves but with Reece throwing the ball and him in the backfield they can stay 4 wide and defenses have to pick their poison. No need to get in the power I they could probably zone read teams to death with Reece running the ball as well. Lebanon has to fix the defense if they want to challenge Graham or Union or anyone else in the playoffs.
