  1. Agreed on all counts. Pulaski has the potential to be a force in 4A, and Dixon has a proven track record. That being said, he left Galax far better than he found it (like any good Hoo).

  2. Strictly from a development standpoint, he’s certainly going to a much more impressive and accomplished coaching staff. Ewing may be accomplished as a player but he’s not a very impressive coach. Just my opinion.

  3. Working on Graham's football history game by game. On October 19, 1963 Joey Grimm scored 31 points vs Princeton at Mitchell Stadium. runs of 19, 76 and 60 yards for TD's. 70 yard punt return and a 90 yard kickoff return. Also ran in one extra point (1 point at that time).

  4. Strictly from an exposure/education point of view, I would have never left G-Town.

  5. Good for Brady! It's been a not so well kept secret in Galax all week. With Pulaski's athletes and facilities, he can do some incredible things as long as administration supports him. Edit to add; I wish Dixon well. He certainly changed the culture for all Galax athletics. The coaching position will be a far sight more attractive now than it was when he was hired in 2010.

  6. Galax’s Mark Dixon is now the coach at Pulaski. Brady with the scoop.

The only problem I've run into is they are sometimes out of bone-in wings and I end up getting boneless...not really a problem in my opinion. My wife swears by the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. The fried pickles are good to....caught me by surprise the first time, thought they'd be "chips" but turned out to be "spears". I do highly recommend the Jerk wings...add heat as desired...

  8. Thanks! My inquiry is based solely on personal curiosity. My dad played there back in the late 1950s. Recently took my boys on a "field trip" to get in touch with our family roots in the area. They were wondering why the football field was located so far from the school. I somewhat facetiously asked them if they'd noticed 120 yards' worth of flat land anywhere else around there.
