Yesterday, me and some friends went to Wallace Middle School (Battle's feeder school) to play some basketball on their outdoor court. About 10 minutes after we left, my mom showed me a picture on her phone that my sister-in-law took when she drove by shortly after we left. It was a pic of a young looking black bear crossing the street right beside of the school and court we were playing on. I guess being a bit out of shape, causing us to stop playing and leave sooner than planned, really helped out in this situation, lol. I just wonder where the momma bear might be.

Hey guys. I started working at Teen Venture this year and I've noticed that not many people in the Richlands area know what it is. I know a lot of you are probably parents so I encourage you guys to get your kid to come down and check the place out. We have an indoor skate park, rock climbing wall, music studio, art center, game room with air hockey, ping pong, and a large slot car track, a computer lab, a cafe, and a radio room. We are open 3:30-9 Mon-Friday and 12-5 on Saturdays. Membership is $30 a year (not bad when you think about it). We have a pretty good group of kids and we are always looking to give new kids a place to hang with their friends and learn new things. Just thought I'd pass the info along. :D

I refuse to use the term "Region", since the new alignment system really messes up what that word means.
My understanding is that 2A West, which is Conferences 37-40, split into a diff. alignment for wrestling, basically 4 made-up Districts of 4-5 schools each.
Feb. 14-15 should be the half-state, with all schools (about 20) from Conf. 37-40.
Feb. 8 should be the 'Western Sectional', with West-Western-"North" Grundy, Richlands, Tazewell & Central and W-W-"South" Lebanon, Union, John Battle, Va. High & Lee.
The West-Eastern Sectional would be Lynchburg area schools down to Marion.

Hey guys. My job is hosting a Battle of the Bands this year! Our event will be on July 27th, 2013. It starts at Noon and admission is free with one can of food to be donated. We plan on having 10-12 bands battling for cash prizes. We need a few more bands and we also need vendors. If any of you guys know a band or know a food/craft vendor that would like to be a part of this event, get them in contact with me. PM for my contact details if you don't already have them. We are going to have our Rock Climbing wall open, Skate Park demos, bounce houses, free face painting, games, and more.

Mine was 173-194-214, for the 581 series.
 
The last two games were indicative of how I was really bowling. I threw 7 flush pocket shots in Game #1, to be rewarded with: 3 strikes, 1 stone 9, 1 6-10 (on which I chopped the 6 off the 10), 1 3-10 split (which I missed), and 1 4-6 split (obviously missed). It was the craziest thing, to see a ball hit the pocket dead flush to leave a 4-6.
 
Just a night where I scored decently, yet couldn't buy a break.

Steady improvement last night but I still sucked ass...133-160-194 - 487. Now that I have four weeks under my belt, I'm "starting" the season with a whopping 168 average, down 19 from what I finished with last season and 32 from what I finished the season before that.

i was wondering, if any of you posters have purchased this product, if you're thinking about it, don't do it... these are crap, my wife purchased one, it busted after only 2 weeks, so she took it back and got a replacement, guess what, 2 weeks and one day, yep it busted, both burst with only 35 psi water pressure.....:mad:

A funny twist. Mercer County's commissioner states that it will not treat pit bulls differently than other dogs. This means: the Mercer County Animal Shelter will return all confiscated Pit Bulls to their owners upon request. This, of course, wholly neutered the ordinance!
 
Bluefield, WV now intends to sue to force the MCAC to abide by its ordinance. Absent code provisions that mandate this, Bluefield, WV cannot force Mercer County to do anything.
 
There are two options. One, Bluefield, WV must build its own shelter. Two, live with the embarrassment of having a toothless ordinance on the books. I'm loving this. You go, Mercer County.

At roughly 2 am this morning my little sister fell out of bed and broke her collarbone. She is nearly 3, but is also very tiny for her age. Any sling is way too big, and she screams if you attempt an ACE bandage on it. She can't see a specialist until Monday and has to keep it immobilized as much as possible. Please say a few of you can for her. It breaks my heart to see her in so much pain.

A car has struck over 50 pedestrians at the Trail Days Parade about 30 minutes ago. 4 med flights on the scene and over a dozen ambulances. Per unconfirmed sources, an elderly man that possibly was having his own medical emergency lost control and slammed into the pedestrians. Prayers to those effected. I was heading that way at 6ish to see Phantom play at the gazebo tonight.

Wow.

Spring gobbler season started in WV last week. My FIL went several days only saw a few hens and heard very few gobblers. I went on Friday and the gobblers were sounding off early (6:45-7:30) but I never saw a bird all day long.
 
Yesterday, my FIL went out for a few hours and three big gobblers came strutting his way. He dropped one with a 10" beard...sorry I don't have a pic available. Said the other two had beards just as long.

First game was either strike or open...chalk it up to both unfamiliar equipment and not having bowled since last May.
 
Second game had more strikes and a few spares, less opens.
 
Last game was clean five strikes/six spares (all were 10-pin leaves...6 for 6. Actually only missed one 10-pin all night, the first one I threw at in the first game.
 
New ball (RotoGrip Berserk) is going to be good when I learn how it is going to react under different conditions. With its hybrid coverstock, it seems to be very smooth in the midlane and very continuous on the backend and through the pocket...strong enough to move in the oil but smooth enough not to make any sudden jumps of the dry boards.
 
UVAO has found himself a permanent spot in this league too.

Heard a WV MetroNews blurb that Bluefield, WV's Council was looking into an ordinance that would ban pistols.
