You could see some talent on the Central side-just gotta grow up a bit. They played hard and never quit.
As much as it pains me to say this, Central could be a real problem in a few years unless politics take over etc etc etc. When you play that many young guys the future has to be bright.
I guess we need to keep in mind that we had some kids on last year's D that would make any coordinator look good.
I do miss Rhodes, but given what we lost, our D is doing pretty good this year. I'm still on the fence about several areas, but I think we're making improvements each week though.
I think inserting Gibson to corner and moving Jenkins to safety has improved the secondary quite a bit. It sucks for Falin though because I thought he was doing a pretty good job back there.
Union travels down to take on Morristown West. I feel this will be a great challenge for Union, and I honesty don’t feel the best about it. They were down to their 3rd string QB last year and gave us all we wanted. Thoughts?
I didn't see as much T-formation as I saw triple option plays. Lotta option from GC last night.
GC was overmatched talent wise but the kids played hard all night. I know Akers has been a disaster but it is a credit to him, the assistants and the kids that they played their hardest every minute last night. It did extend the game and make the last four minutes last FOREVER lol but the kids deserve a chance to play as hard as they can til the end.
does anyone know Turners stat line? He was very good last night. I am curious to his completions and attempts, he didn't put up 400 yards or anything but I'm not sure he missed more than 1-2 passes if any.
I’m not sure how to feel about the offensive situation. I know the offensive coaches have the ability to throw in some more complex systems because in 2015 the Union offense was dynamite. Of course you had some amazing athletes on that team, so take it with a grain of salt. I know this years athletes don’t match up to those, but I feel they should be capable of opening it up much more than they are.
I completely understand wanting to establish the run but we have to many options in the passing game to stay in be T, especially when a team is dead set on stopping it. IMO, #10 & #80 for Union need to play more of a role in the offense. And I’d love to see them use the middle of the field.
I do wish they were used more. I’m not sure it would have made the biggest difference tonight though.
He's certainly got the tools to be a dandy one. Good frame and strong arm. Once her gets the reps down and accuracy up he'll be solid.
The arm strength really sticks out. Some people at the game tonight who hadn’t seen him play let out a collective, “woah” when he started slinging the ball around.
It’s gonna be one for the ages. Union has improved dramatically from what they showed in the Burton game. They grew up during the Richlands game. Now, they get to come to the Ridge and take on the Wolfpack. It could go either way.

I’m here at the game. I think Abingdon will have to run the ball and really control the clock. If they don’t, they’ll get blown out.
