I'm with the rest of the 2A crowd.  I'm going to take the Bearcats.  And no it won't be an upset like Casey Goetz will say.  It'll be VHS just flat out beating a 1A team they should beat.

Battle's depth will be too much for PH to overcome.  I have seen them both and Battle should win comfortably.

You are correct sir.  It is all about matchups.  And I think Abingdon matches up well against Pulaski.  Defensive front 7 make the difference here.

I can't speak about Pulaski. I don't know much about this year's team. That's why I have yet to put them in my Top 10.
I did see Abingdon play JSB. I was impressed. So many fans are ready to write a team off bc they didn't beat an inferior opponent by 50. The game of football (especially between good to great teams) is all about matchups. 
I may be way off bc of my lack of knowledge of Pulaski, but I'll risk it and take the Falcons in this one.

I'm certainly pulling for VHS in this one.  However, I get the feeling Tenn High may be too much to handle for the Bearcats.  If they can shorten the game and keep TN offense off the field they may have a shot though.  The Rose kid will have to carry the load if they can't pass.

GC definitely has some bright spots.  That being said, their number 1 problem is numbers.  They just can't expect 20 or 30 kids to stay in a game for 48 minutes without some form of a breather.  That and at times it looked as though they were on separate pages.  If they could get their numbers back up they would be competitive, but until then it'll be more of the same.

Talk to former players at Abingdon and Wise Central and ask them if Reed is good at getting kids out to play football or developing good relationships with his players. GC alum may be drinking the Kool Aid because of loyalty or desperation but he's not turning that program around. Could he do a worse job thank Akers? Probably not, but he isn't going to get the numbers up or win anytime in the near future which would be the final nail in the coffin.
