Tazewell @ Carroll County scrimmage has been changed to 8/9 at 6 PM.

Be involved. From the players/cheerleaders, parents, coaches, and officers. Everyone has to be involved and on the same page for it to grow. Ego and the HS glory days are left at the door.  If you can show them that the future is bright then they will help see it through.

Danny Mullins expanded Tazewell Youth Football League(TYFL) several years ago to include Montcalm, Graham, Mt. View, Tazewell, and possibly Peterstown. I may be wrong on Peterstown. As far as youth leagues are concerned this one was ran about as good as one can expect. All of them are going to have hiccups but when you look at the performance of these same teams 7 years later.........it speaks for itself. Tazewell went from not making playoffs to contending. Montcalm(I know it's Montcalm) but they have done well with the kids that went through that youth league. Mt. View is and probably always will be a dumpster fire regardless. Graham's results speak for themselves. Obviously the MS and HS programs have to be a well oiled machine but that league that Danny put together produced some good teams. I probably shouldn't give him all the credit lol. He obviously had some help with it all. 

I like the grass field at Tazewell, the stadium needs some upgrades, however.  

I don’t believe Tazewell will get turf. Too many wanting a full service track and soccer field to go along with it. There’s not enough room to make all that happen. I hear they’ll re-sod and go from there. I like the grass field, one of the better ones around.

The Middle School had that helmet for a year or two. For some reason the T isn’t supported the way it used to be.

IMHO, Tazewell had it right in 1986 and should've never changed.
