  1. I’ll take Tazewell in a close one. Contain Sage, I’m not sure Richlands can compensate.
  2. Lots of others getting touches in addition to Turner-Bradshaw. Line play much better!
  3. What’s it have to be for running clock?
  4. Appomattox is always the team to beat in my opinion.
  5. I’m not a legal expert on Covid restriction mandates but it seems to me , capacity limits etc. in TN could not be usurped by the Governor of Virginia when said facility is in the state of TN. I think Graham could also have a good argument since they play in WV. I doubt they’re willing to test the waters though.
  6. Is the backup the kid from George Wythe?
  7. George Wythe but kudos to Bland for fielding a team. Such a small school, not much to draw on as far as numbers but wish the Bears best of luck.
  8. I’ll take Richlands but as others have said, it’s a crazy season. I’d say Richlands is doing some fine tuning this week and won’t look as sloppy as they did on Saturday. 3 weeks prep is hard , period, no matter the team especially without scrimmages. There’s going to be lots of hiccups.
  9. They did it at the game this past weekend. I don’t think they had a huge crowd but at least parents of band and cheerleaders got to come if they wanted.
  10. Lebanon seems much improved compared to last year. They look to have some guys in the backfield that can be helpful. Graham has a staggering amount of newbies on the defensive side of the ball & clearly has some work to do. Their line for the most part is young. With that said, Coach Bradshaw, Snake, & Ronnie Davis will fine tune it. I’ve heard the players are hard workers so that is a plus. I think we’ll see at least some improvements from last week for the GMen. It was a pretty sloppy game for Graham and Richlands. Then again, three weeks practice doesn’t give much to get things clicking.
  11. This may be true but not the point, lol.
  12. I guess the college fans are more immune than high school fans. Who knew? Glad Ralph cleared that up for all of us.
  13. Well, Bluefield College is allowed 30% capacity at Mitchell Stadium under Governor’s order but yet Graham is allowed 250 in the same stadium.
  14. Definitely prayers for his family and everyone who knew him. He wasn’t a Richlands coach but a friend of Coach Wells who went with him from Blacksburg to Mooresville. My deepest sympathies for Coach Wells & Mooresville community.
  15. Kastner & Edwards are big shoes to fill with mostly freshmen & sophomores who started their first ever varsity game today.
  16. Both teams have lots they need to work on ; Can’t wait to see the improvements both teams make, three weeks wasn’t long to practice , even less for wrestlers & basketball guys. Fritz had a good showing for his first game. Turnovers hurt Richlands badly. Graham still loves yellow flags. Thoughts? Anyone else on strengths & weaknesses of both teams.
  17. Several, lol, at least 5 Sweet victory for Ronnie Davis & Snake.
  18. Just stay off here & mute phone until you’ve watched both, lol.
  19. I know they have a lot of freshmen & sophomores who haven’t played varsity ball but I’m hoping for a couple diamonds in the rough. Fritz is a nice add to the team. He could turn out to be a great skill player but it’s hard with so few practices under his belt due to wrestling but I’m keeping a positive attitude that Bradshaw isn’t all they have.
  20. Graham lost a lot of starters especially on defense. Bradshaw will be their playmaker on offense for sure but I’d say they have more than just him skill wise. Is it the same level as past couple seasons? Probably not, but to say Bradshaw is all they have skill wise is inaccurate in my opinion.
  21. Agree, broadcasting crew was awful...turned down sound too. Congratulations to Central. I would like to add , those stands could have held a lot more fans & still been social distanced.
  22. There are way too many unknowns to be able to predict a winner. It may come down to a defensive battle , it may hinge on the QBs. Blevins did great under pressure when he had to take over for Lester the last time GMen traveled to Ernie Hicks. So many variables this season , it should be a good battle. I’m hoping for a GMen win but if Blues take it, I’ll congratulate them on a job well done.
  23. Hoping Bulldogs give them a run for their money. It’s going to be tough but hopefully a competitive game.
